1. It gives the US a ton of leverage. 2. The issue is that Israel is a much smaller country with less money. The fear, since the Yom Kippur war, is that they will run out of money in a crisis, and thus be out of defensive weapons and suffer massive casualties, or Israel starts using deadlier weapons

This is a dumb position from @AOC. Iron Dome saves lives and deters military action. The US should always protect Israel's territorial integrity. There's a lot of other funding that the US can cut, and sanctions it can impose on the West Bank settlers.
