Man I’m on the fence. Borrow margin from Robinhood for $375k with $100k cash down or sell short term high cost basis shares outright. If I borrow margin, Tesla would have to get down to $89 per share before I get margin called.

@surfranchvibes @DrRichardTater It's easy to get er done with margin. Just a quick transfer of money to your bank account. Then a bit later, if you haven't paid it off yet, you can get a real loan for it at a much lower interest rate.

Take out 3 million on margin against your $tsla shares and buy the land, buy 2.5m of tsla and when tsla hits 500 by July, sell it back and you just paid for the land for free. Even better, ride it up to 700, then buy the property across the street. Even better, at 700, borrow an additional 3 million, buy more shares then at 1,000 strike you get SpaceX to connect all the properties by tunnels.

It’s only been 5 days since being away from Bluey & I’m in withdrawal leaving him down south. Never thought I’d say this but a car without FSD feels incomplete. Can’t wait for the @Tesla Signature to arrive.

My Plaid is going to cost me $300k in most future earnings on my shares. You can't put a $TSLA cost on everything or you'll do nothing. Getting my car before I can't drive it fast was more important than having that cash in the future. Getting that land when you and your kids are young is far more important. If you were wondering where your next meal is coming from, it's a dif conversation but that's not applicable right now.

I need approximately $475k in cash to buy the property adjacent to us. It just became available for sale and it’s a race against time. I was given until June 15 to sign the contract before it’s listed publicly. Property is 5.5 acres on a pond that connects to our SurfRanch estate property. I have never sold a single share of Tesla nor ever wanted to, but in order for my cash to be freed up, I would have to do so. Granted, this would not be a huge hit, it still was a significant shock and I’m hesitant being that we are so close to SpaceX IPO. What would you do?

Smart as you are, and you ask a question that has a no-brainer answer that you already know. 😁 You have no choice about whether or not to sign. At all. It doesn't even matter if you think it is overpriced. Your only choice is how to fund it. If you really believe $TSLA goes up even just 50% in the next few years, finance it and pay it off early sometime later if you feel like it. Your payments will be made with money you would otherwise use to pay $450-550+/share to buy in the future. If I owned a big piece of property outright, I'd try to borrow against it to buy shares, so I'd never sell some to pay cash for it. Shake that all up in a blender with all the other advice you get 🤣
