@NickReidITV @ITVCentral Great to see. This is a major and much needed shit across the bow of the normal big two parties, Labour and Tories. Bring on the next general elections!

It’s been quite at evening for Reform UK in Dudley as they have taken 22 seats in the Local Elections 2026. They are now the second biggest party in the council with an overall total seats of 23. @ITVCentral

@NewAgePagan @stuey_beef Fuck the national interest. If they're not going to pay me my pension they can rebate me nearly 3 decades of National Insurance.

The state pension is not a random government favour, it’s the back end of a 35–40 year compulsory “contract” where people are forced to hand over National Insurance on the clear promise of a basic pension at the end. Politicians and think tanks helped design an unfunded, pay‑as‑you‑go system where today’s workers pay today’s pensioners, then have the gall to call it “unsustainable” as if the public dreamt it up. If a private firm sold you a retirement product on fixed terms, took your money for four decades, then announced at 66 that you “didn’t really need it” and would henceforth be means‑tested or frozen, they would be in court for mis‑selling and fraud. The crisis here is not pensioners “leeching off the young”, it’s a political class that built a Ponzi‑style NI system, diverted the proceeds for other spending, and now wants to default on the people who kept their side of the bargain. You do not blame the victims of a defective product for believing the brochure; you go after the people who wrote it.

I repeat: The U.S. sent thousands of its 19 years old soldiers to die in Normandy, to free Europe and to end the biggest crime against humanity ever commited - by Europeans. It was just 81 years ago. The whole reason, France, Benelux etc. 🇫🇷 exist today is because of this heroism. My grandparents could grow up in a liberal democracy. Without the U.S. they would be raised at the H*tler Youth. We Europeans would still be in wars again and again, like 1914, 1866, 1870, 1795 etc. They brought peace, democracy, liberty and human rights. They invested billions of U.S. Dollars into Europe with the Marshall Fund. They gave us more than we ever had in our history before. They protected us for 7 decades with hundreds of thousands of soldiers against the cruelties of the Soviet Union. The terror we can see nowadays in Donetsk, would have happened in Bavaria, Bourgogne or the Netherlands in 1950 if there wasn’t the U.S. 🇺🇸 Who do we Europeans think we are to let that nation down, act like bad allies, calling their President names every day on television - and have full confidence we stand better alone. All of instagram is just about, why we’re better than the U.S. We owe them so much. We Europeans are most arrogant species on earth. And to cure this we have to face the truth.

@janeisginger @TamdhuL @David__Osland @Possum_PictBot So, what you're saying is it's the fault of the jobless and the financial elite (who don't pay into the system) that are too blamed. Yet we keep bringing into this country more jobless layabouts.

When I started paying National Insurance contributions in 1976, the deal was that I'd get a pension providing for a basic standard of living in a then-unimaginable 50 years' time. But now I've finally got there, it's just half the minimum wage.

Today we are lifting 450,000 children out of poverty with the end of the two-child limit.  This Labour Government is achieving the biggest reduction in child poverty over a Parliament since records began.  Change promised. Change delivered.

£26436.80 is the new min wage annual salary (40 hrs p/wk). And as the min wage rises, regular salaries don't. So many people will begin to ask themselves 'why am I working this highly stressful job that needed qualifications and a tonne of bullshit paperwork and police checks just to earn 5k more a year than I would stacking shelves at Lidl?'

BREAKING: Millions flood US streets in largest protest in American history. "No Kings III" rallies hit all 50 states. Springsteen performs protest anthem in Minneapolis. The third wave of "No Kings" protests is sweeping the United States right now. Over 3,300 events in all 50 states, from Manhattan to rural Idaho. Organizers expected 9 million participants, which would make this the largest day of political protest in US history. The flagship rally is in St. Paul, Minnesota, where Bruce Springsteen performed "Streets of Minneapolis," a song he wrote after federal agents killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti during immigration raids. Joan Baez also performed. Tens of thousands packed the State Capitol lawn. In New York, marchers filled Midtown from Columbus Circle down 7th Avenue. Robert De Niro addressed the crowd. Attorney General Letitia James marched. In Washington, protesters crossed Memorial Bridge onto the National Mall chanting "No kings, no crowns." In Boston, protesters erected a memorial for children killed in Iran. In Dallas, at least one arrest after clashes with counter-protesters. The grievances are broad: the Iran war, ICE raids, rising cost of living, erosion of democratic norms. An 81-year-old protester in New York who started during Vietnam said: "We were suffering then. But not like we are now." Previous rounds drew 5 million (June 2025) and 7 million (October 2025). The White House response: "We do not think about the protest at all." International solidarity rallies are happening in over a dozen countries, including Rome, Paris and across Europe.
