Catholicism officially teaches that contraception is gravely evil. Islam and Protestantism allow for contraception.

@bp061122 @5Solas2 The text in Acts 16 says Word of God was preached to the whole household. Obviously, the heard, understood, & believed. The the entire family would have been baptized by immersion. That means no babies were included in the scene.

This is how infant baptism started and eventually became a common practice. It was NOT taught or practiced by the apostles.

Peter never called himself the rock. Not once. Peter pointed to Jesus as the stone. Paul said Jesus is the only foundation. So no, the church is not built on Peter in some pope-chair, Rome-rules-the-world sense. Peter got a new name, yes. Peter got a new life, yes. Peter got a huge role, yes. But Jesus Christ is the foundation. Peter was just a servant standing on that foundation like everybody else. If Rome wants Peter to be the foundation, there’s a problem because: Peter kept preaching Jesus. Paul kept preaching Jesus. The Bible keeps preaching Jesus. That’s the church - Jesus. Period.
