BREAKING: For the first time since the start of the war, Iran’s IRGC announces the complete destruction of 3 F-35 fighter jets and significant damage to 3 others at the Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan, through multiple ballistic missiles targeting the deployment ramp and maintenance hangar this morning, per Tasnim. Iran had not previously announced the destruction of an F-35. The IRGC adds several US officers and maintenance personnel were also killed at the base. The strike comes in response to a US strike on 2 residential homes on Qeshm Island earlier this morning, killing a father, mother, and their 2-year-old child, and injuring 2 other children.

Trump has shown an impressive ability throughout the Iran War to fall into every single trap Iran has laid. It takes skill to be that stupid.

Call me a prude, but I do not like public officials using the "f -word" in public, where little kids can hear it or even proper adults don't like it.

@educator4ever36 Maybe for basic skills. I don’t know how that would work for more advanced reasoning skills and things that take experience.

This may sound far fetched, but I absolutely believe the future of education will involve only students with the most extreme needs getting a human teacher, and everyone else will be educated via AI and robots.
This Guy@coachball2709

@joe4deadcat @educator4ever36 AI cannot and should NEVER take the place of traditional learning at younger ages. Leave it for the upper levels when a strong academic foundation has been established. Schools have turned learning at ALL levels over to tech and a large number of students aren't mature enough....

There is a massive generational gap on phones and combat. Several years ago we did an “event” and our phones didn’t travel. 30 days, green tent, cots, no phones. Us old folks took naps and read books. The young ones lived each day on the verge of a breakdown. Want to fight a peer or near peer? Better start leaving the phones and connected devices at home. Better do it in training or these kids will have zero ability to focus on what matters. Call me old fashioned, but what is old is often new again.

@educator4ever36 In my building (9-12) it’s our biggest issue and main barrier to learning. I’d argue worse for a child’s overall health than vaping.

Presidential power at will. Biden didn't dare, and Trump doesn't want to. The fact is, you, the American, will pay to destroy military equipment once it's finished rotting away in warehouses. Until then, millions of 155mm shells, tanks, armored personnel carriers, planes, and helicopters are rotting because your president is either a coward or an asset of Moscow. The surplus EDA could be sold to Ukraine for a single dollar if there were the guts to do it. Yes! I also wrote about this a while ago.

Ted Williams, one of the greatest natural hitters of all time, was retired and giving some tips to the rookies at the Red Sox spring training camp. One of them asked how to tell apart a curveball from a slider when they were coming in. Ted Williams replied: "Oh! That's easy. If it's a curveball, the red spot you see on the ball will be rotating clockwise: If it's a changeup, counterclockwise." The rookies all nodded and thanked him for the tip. One of the rookies turned to the others and said whispered: "Now who the f*** can even see a red spot on a ball coming at you at 95 mph?" Then Ted Williams went on to claim that he could tell exactly where on the seams he hit a baseball. No one believed him. Ted was long retired at this point. Williams took a bat and covered the barrel with pine tar and they started throwing him some pitches. Ted would hit and say: "Across the seams." "Between the seams." Or "Across one seam." They retrieved the balls and found out Williams was right, EVERY single time.

Which Pittsburgh team had the worst alternate uniform? Two choices per team. 1. The current Pirate's city connect uniform 2. The Pirate's 1999 red jersey 3. This past year's Steelers throwback 1933 uniform 4. The Steeler's 2012-2016 bumble bee throwbacks 5. The Penguin's 2008-2001 light blue throwbacks 6. The Penguin's 2010-2013 dark blue alternate jersey All 6 were pretty bad, which was the worst?

@DI313_ @TrentTelenko One wonders why they don’t switch to dumb bombs once air suppression is gone? It would sure save a lot of money and the pilots are more than capable.

Defense Intelligence
🇺🇸⚔️🇮🇷 The U.S. has reportedly burned through roughly one third of its pre war stockpile of key precision munitions during the Iran war. Air defense interceptors are among the hardest hit, with up to 80% of THAAD, more than half of SM 3, and up to 61% of Patriot interceptors reportedly expended. Long range strike weapons have also been heavily depleted, including 1,000+ Tomahawks, 1,100+ JASSMs, and a significant portion of the relatively small PrSM stockpile.

How many teachers are bracing for PD week, where someone who hasn’t taught in a classroom in a decade will introduce the latest educational buzzword that’s supposed to solve every learning problem? I remember one year my district was so excited about “what do you notice, what do you wonder?” This was supposed to make our lessons magical. I don’t know any teachers still using that strategy.
