Screenshot due to the account. Texas House District 130 residents who helped flip the Cy-Fair ISD board and have kept the Tomball ISD board sane: this guy has to go. He’s costing all of his ISDs funding they need (for starters). Please help .@brettarob however you can.

@satsuma_tx_all Attacking Plyler v. Doe is their scheme to kill two birds with one stone: -Dismantle and privatize public education. -Legalize discrimination against immigrants by stripping their 14th Amendment protections. Oliverson is Chairman of the House Republican Caucus. He needs to go.

@SaraForTexLege I did the math for primary turnout in my district and if the election were held today, I would likely get 43% of the vote. Still a loss, but that’s already signaling a 24 point swing in my district. Change is coming.

The pride before the fall. Mr. “I’m gonna spend millions to flip Harris County” can’t even energize people to vote in the district where he decided to kick off the early voting period. My district. My hometown. My family, my friends, my kids, and my kids’ friends and family. We reject Abbott, Schofield, and any of the other outside big money politicians who are coming for our community. And it’s here. The rejection of big money politicians is here. I received more primary votes than any candidate from either party in the history of my district. I started this campaign 15 months ago by Googling “how to run for office in Texas.” I continued it with a deep unbreakable belief that our collective voices will ALWAYS be stronger than their money. I have 8 months. I will knock every single door in my district 5 times personally if that’s what it takes. We are taking our state BACK.

Texas politics is weird because Abbott is over here hooting and hollering about Talarico and not Hinojosa, the challenger in the governor race that he himself is a part of

Your comment reads like criticism, I hope I’m wrong. Almost like you’re not allowed to call attention to a hemorrhaging wound unless you’re a doctor equipped to treat it. Either way, I’m not a government official in a finance oversight committee or anything. But here’s where I’d start.

I talked about this a bit yesterday, but what we're seeing is that Supply Side Economics (trickle down) does not work when the ultra wealthy won't play ball. And the Trump administration has been GUNG HO on enshrining Supply Side Economics. The main idea is that if you alleviate the financial burden on the ultra rich individuals and corporations, primarily by reducing their taxation, then you end up creating a massive surplus in capital at the tippy-top among those elites. With all that extra capital, they can create new jobs, new investment opportunities, increase wages, provide better benefits, you get the idea. Part one of the plan worked. They got CONSIDERABLY more wealthy. Part 2 failed completely. They took that extra wealth and invested in 2 main things. First, they made moves to preserve their wealth by investing it in assets or borrowing against liquidity to basically avoid paying more in taxes. They lobbied and donated tons of money to individual politicians to make sure they continue to promote policies that keep them wealthy. And second, they invested in things like AI and automation which does not create new jobs but instead finds ways to make jobs unnecessary. They don't need you anymore for many of the things they used to need you for. In summation, the wealthy got more wealthy, jobs got cut, and they made moves to make sure no one can come for their new cash.

Oh man, here we go. A twofer. You tell me champ. What IS a woman? Is it someone who can bear children? Are the rape victims in Texas who are forced to carry their rapist’s child to term considered woman enough for you? Is it a person born with a vagina, uterus and ovaries all in tact and fully functional? If a woman can’t have children, does that mean she isn’t a woman? Is it a person with the right levels of estrogen to classify? The right combo of XX? What about the XXY with female reproductive organs? Is she a woman? Do they have to have long hair, exclusively wear dresses and have large breasts? Or are women who have short haircuts subject to your relentless harassment just for trying to use the restroom? Should they be a certain height, weight, build, and possess an innate desire to serve your every whim? Because I’ve been told that strong independent women are the end of society. Tell me, my guy. What IS a woman? I am SO curious to know what exact criteria the entire United States should use to define what a woman is. Let’s hear it. And then let’s take it a step further and tell me how TF you legislate this. Are we creating a government mandated nationwide DNA registry? Genital checks at every bathroom door? The problem that we’ve had with this conversation is shying away from it. Talk about it. Talk all the way through it to the end result. And the end result is ALWAYS massive government overreach and privacy violations. Take your disgusting misogynistic questions and KICK ROCKS.

@GregAbbott_TX That article isn’t relevant whatsoever but just so everyone understands, your argument is protest ➡️ chaos ➡️ people getting hurt ➡️ hurting someone is a crime. Therefore, protest = crime. You have an unhinged hatred for the Constitution and Texas kids.

It’s about time students like this were arrested. Harming someone is a crime -- even for students. Disruptive walkouts allowed by schools lead to just this kind of chaos. Schools and staff who allow this behavior should be treated as co-conspirators and should not be immune for criminal behavior. We are also looking into stripping the funding of schools that abandon their duty to teach our kids the curriculum required by law. More to come. kvue.com/article/news/l…

Low turnout special elections are always unpredictable. The results from SD 9 are a wake-up call for Republicans across Texas. Our voters cannot take anything for granted. I know the energy and strength the Republican grassroots in Texas possess. We will come out fighting with a new resolve, and we will take this seat back in November. We will keep Texas red.

Hours after Renee Good was murdered by an ICE agent, @TomOliverson proudly announces his support for the American Gestapo. He apparently has no problem with Americans being gunned down by their government. Indefensible.

🚨 Videos don’t lie. So here is slow-motion footage shows ICE agents illegally detaining a U.S. citizen in Minneapolis… and shooting her as she tries to drive away. Watch closely: she never drove toward an agent. The agents attempted to aggressively force her out of her car illegally, even though she wasn’t blocking traffic… in fact, she was letting cars pass. When she reversed to avoid them, she turned her wheels away from the agent in front of her. One agent then leaned over the front of her car with his gun drawn… he begins slipping on ice as she tries to drive forward, possibly being the cause of the first shot being fired. • First shot: fired while his feet were on the side of her car, slipping on ice. • Second shot: fired when the car was nowhere near him. • Final shot: fired as she was already driving away. She never tried to hit anyone. She was turning away the entire time. They shot her because she was trying to drive away from an unlawful detention. And this isn’t the first time ICE has used deadly force against someone simply for drive away. It’s just the first time we have video evidence. This is why filming ICE is crucial… and why they don’t want you to. This abuse has to end, now. How many more people will have to die before the government stops ICE from illegally detaining, assaulting, and shooting U.S. citizens?

Am I in the twilight zone? Invading a foreign country and kidnapping their leader and family is wrong. Stealing billions of barrels of their oil is wrong. What happened to “no new wars” and America first?

Chris Cuomo asked Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez how we pay for Medicare for All, tuition free college, and the green new deal. It gives people sticker shock. Her answer: “People talk about the sticker shock of Medicare for All, but they do not talk about the sticker shock of our existing system. In a Koch brothers funded study, it shows that Medicare for All is actually much cheaper than the current system. Let's not forget that the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act because they ruled that each of these monthly payments that everyday Americans make is a tax. We pay it every single month. (Or we pay at tax season if we don't buy plans off of the exchange.) Americans have the sticker shock of healthcare as it is. Why aren't we incorporating the cost of funeral expenses of those who die because they can't afford access to healthcare? That is part of the cost of our system. Or the cost of reduced productivity because of people who need to go on disability or are not able to participate in our economy because they don't have access to the healthcare that they need? At the end of the day, we see that this is not a pipe dream. Every other developed nation in the world has this. Why can't America? And that is the question we need to ask. We write blank checks for war. We just wrote a $2 trillion check for the GOP tax cut. And nobody asks how are we going to pay for it. So my question is why are our pockets only empty when it comes to education and healthcare for our kids? Why are our pockets only empty when we talk about 100% renewable energy that is going to save this planet and allow our children to thrive? We only have empty pockets when it comes to the morally right things to do. But when it comes to tax cuts for billionaires or unlimited war, we seem to be able to invent that money very easily. To me it belies a lack of moral priorities that people have right now, especially the Republican Party.”
