@kylepullman @FabrizioRomano It’s not a controversial decision. It’s a stonewall foul. You’re just crying because you hate Arsenal and can’t believe the ref would come to their defence.

This is the crux of the issue at hand. Arteta (and many Arsenal fans) is/are the boy who cried wolf - he's used up his goodwill. There are a LITANY of examples of the hypocrisy which is the entire premise of my original post. This call is controversial at best, downright scandalous at worst. Further, supported by the said examples, that there wasn't bravery in miss/non/bad calls going the other way. Arteta's favorite phrase is "it's a disgrace". Zero conflation. Pure Hypocrisy.

🚨 Mikel Arteta: “Sometimes I've been crictical with the referees or doubting consistency. Today they took a brave decision”. “When you look at it with clarity it's very clear that is a FOUL and a right decision. So, thank you.”.

@kylepullman @FabrizioRomano You are conflating two different things: the inconsistency of the decisions and how the rules are being applied, and the inconsistency of managers’ assessments of the decisions (often revealing bias). Arteta is not gaslighting. He was correct.

It *may have been, but the consistency in these calls have been far less than stellar. Hence the post criticizing Arteta for essentially admitting to complaining when calls don’t go their way or aren’t given, and today. It’s definitionally gaslighting. Which is dumb and continues to seed, again, why, when fans parrot the same things, are seen as loathsome. Which they are.

@kylepullman @FabrizioRomano Consistency of refereeing decisions is a huge problem in the sport but I don’t see how Arteta praising the bravery to make the correct call has anything to do with that. We should be happy they applied the rule correctly this time and hope that it continues.

@FabrizioRomano THIS, right here, is why the world cannot stand Arsenal. At least acknowledge it went your way. Which is fine to win the PL you often need some luck. But the gaslighting is insanely disingenuous and so obnoxious

the weird obsession with Hasan Piker clicks into place when you realize that everyone in politics/media is a lifelong nerd, while Hasan looks, to them, like a big strong scary jock who might shove them into the lockers of their youth

@Buffalo840169 @GovKathyHochul Selling second homes would help bring property prices down and increase supply for families that desperately need them. Not quite the L you’re looking for.

@blake_bean @scottmelker It’s like DOGE never existed to you guys. They barely found any fraud. If we don’t want our public services to crumble to dust, we need more tax revenue. And income equality is getting worse because of AI.

@DonAlt @R89Capital I absolutely despise Trump, regime change, and the blatant illegality of our military. BUT that being said, the Iranians are cheering Khamenei’s death in the streets and that kinda says it all…

what made Magic so special to me was that it was inspired by history and culture while being forward-thinking and innovative, with some of the world's best fantasy art. all of that is gone now. it's just Funko Pops you can play a game with. it's an embarrassment to its own legacy
