It took 100 years to get to 5 billion bank accounts globally. Agents will need that many in the next decade. Every company will run hundreds of agents, each with their own treasury. We built the rails: meow.com/mcp.

We walked through @meow's agentic flow for setting up a business bank account, and it felt magical One prompt and the agent seamlessly set up a real bank account and connected to all of the tools and systems it needs to make, manage, and move money archetype.fund/media/meow-let…

Nobody is going to log into a bank dashboard in three to four years. I know that sounds bold. But think about the last two times banking changed its primary interface. Thirty years ago, online banking was absurd. You went to a branch. Twenty years ago, mobile banking felt the same way. Then the friction comparison became impossible to ignore and both norms dissolved. AI is the same transition, but the mechanism is different. Every prior upgrade was a self-service improvement. You got a better tool to operate yourself. An AI agent removes the operating entirely. You describe what you want and delegate the rest. We built the infrastructure at Meow to make that real. We're the first fintech in history to support an AI agent actually completing a business bank account opening. I wrote about why I think this transition is inevitable, who adopts it first, and what the security picture actually looks like. meow.com/blog/why-ai-ag…

Datost (@datostapp) is an AI data analyst in Slack. It keeps a semantic layer of your business definitions, crm, docs, and codebase so it knows what questions mean. 75.2% on the hardest public text-to-SQL benchmark, where Opus 4.6 scores 33%. Every AI agent that runs a business needs a bank account and a card. The cards exist. The bank account was the missing layer. $100B+ opportunity we're pursuing at @Meow.

On Thursday, @Meow launched bank accounts for AI agents. Over the weekend, we've seen agents signing up in droves. 20 years ago it jarring to open a bank account from your phone. We're in the same moment for LLMs today. Now, we’re extending that lead: — Every flow in @Meow is becoming agent-first — We're serving a wider breadth of companies than ever before — We're launching new financial primitives by the week, with another coming tomorrow Tell your agent to apply to Meow at meow.com/mcp today. Be one of the earliest customers in history for this. meow.com/blog/ai-agents…

@holdforscott Empirically this is why model performance is worse during peak hours and better on the weekends. I’m doing most of my meaningful coding on nights and weekends. Business hours are cooked

The problem is Anthropic 3x’d usage in a 3 month period. Highly doubt their data center capacity is that elastic. They couldn’t keep model quality high if even if they wanted to. Long term intelligence is a commodity bottlenecked by capacity and inference cost. Demand currently exceeds supply at $200/month Mythos is going to bring us closer in line to pricing that balances supply of intelligence with demand. Wouldn’t be surprised to see $1000/month for opus 4.5 quality and have that quickly hit capacity as well. Harnesses matter and should be built to be interchangeable with intelligence layers.

I completely agree with her assessment that “Claude has regressed to the point it cannot be trusted to perform complex engineering”. There are two problems with building businesses on top of frontier models. The first is the cost and value capture. The frontier labs are aiming to capture the value that they create and become the new Google, Facebook where, in the past, you would raise venture money to scale your SaaS and you would spend marginally all of it on CPC ads for customers acquisition. Then all that value accrues to Google/Facebook stock. The goal with the frontier labs is capture all that value instead. There is no incentive to bring costs down or democratize access, that’s going to have to come from innovation outside those labs. The second is the “they’re not going to let us have this” problem. (phrase coined by @androolloyd in our discussions/strategizing about this around the turn of the new year) Opus 4.5 was good enough that you could actually make serious progress with it. Now that they’ve gotten everyone hooked on crack, they’ve diluted the package. It’s been brutal for over a month. The amount of money we’ve spent on the API for this degraded product makes me sick. They have completely nerfed it and there’s a good chance Mythos is just them re-releasing an unquantized version of the same/similar thing that we already had, just in a way that’s more economically sustainable for them. And which is rumoured to be gatekept by organization. If you’re operating in this field you have to take these dynamics into account and act accordingly.

AMD Senior AI Director confirms Claude has been nerfed. She analyzed Claude's session logs from Janurary to March: > median thinking dropped from ~2,200 to ~600 chars > API requests went up 80x from Feb to Mar. less thinking and failed attempts meaning more retries, burning more tokens, and spending more on tokens > reads-per-edit dropped from 6.6x → 2.0x. model stops researching code before touching it. > model tried to bail out or ask "should i continue" 173 times in 17 days (0 times before March 8). > self-contradiction in reasoning ("oh wait, actually...") tripled. > conventions like CLAUDE.md get ignored because there's less thinking budget to cross-check edits > 5pm and 7pm PST are the worst hours, late night is significantly better. this means the thinking allocation is most likely GPU-load-sensitive.

True Story: When I invested in the seed round, it was because I thought Brandon would rather die than let a customer down. I figured he was so customer-obsessed that he’d find a way to win. I was right. Profitable. Growing. Innovating. My lesson: Invest in people, not ideas.
