After #MichiganState’s blowout win over North Carolina to finish off the Fort Meyer’s Tip-Off, the Spartans now have wins over John Calipari, Kentucky & UNC - with Duke visiting in 8 days. MSU’s program hasn’t lost a step from last year despite losing a 1st round pick, a 5th year senior guard & a veteran 7-footer. Yet again, player development & culture have things humming for Tom Izzo in Year 31.

When everything is rolling for MI it’s clear the ceiling is as high as anyone’s in the country. It’s November and there’s a LONG WAYS to go but it’s been an impressive week. Big ten is going to have some fun battles at the top of the conference.

I mean it hasn’t been great, but the two best OL have been the transfer they got from Wake and the “FCS bum” - so your logic is flawed. It’s the guys internally that haven’t been great. The OL also isn’t nearly as bad as the playcalling and route trees look, especially when it was healthy earlier in the year. A lot of sacks have also been on QBs holding the ball too long, but everyone just starts tweeting about the OL blindly every snap there’s pressure.

The final score will make it seem like the defense didn’t show up, but the offense laid yet another egg - and a defense can only fight for so long. The side of the ball that spent more portal resources to acquire (and retain) talent will undergo lots of scrutiny in coming weeks.

@khabi21 Not ideal!! I’m sure the issue there was the way the guys ran the routes and the spacing is designed to be a touch better on paper, but that’s still on the coaching.
