Will people please stop thanking @fordnation and kissing his ass for pretending to do something that he knows will have zero effect? He asked his attorney general on a Friday afternoon to pursue an injunction to stop something happening the next day. It’s all smoke and mirrors and bullshit, exactly what the provincial government has been doing since Oct. 7, 2023. If Doug wanted to stop tomorrow’s celebration of Jihad and Jew Hater’s gathering in Toronto, he would have done it weeks or months or years ago. 8 years ago he said he’d take action. If he had any intention of stopping this, he had plenty of time. He’s completely and totally full of shit, and everyone falling over themselves to thank him have bought his lies.

This afternoon, I’ve instructed my Attorney General to pursue an injunction against the Al-Quds Day demonstration planned for Toronto. Hate, violence and intimidation have no place on the streets of Canada and our government will fight it however we can.

I remember that day like it was etched into my bones. October 7th hit me hard, you know? It wasn’t just news on a screen, it was a crack right through my life. I’d built everything around this psy trance world, full of beats and vibes that promised unity. Nova hit me like a ton of bricks. And when I spoke up for what I believed, poof, it all vanished. Up in smoke. Jobs gone, connections severed. Felt like someone yanked the rug out from under me and I tumbled into this void. My whole world view shattered. I used to wrap myself in that love and light stuff, thinking everyone deep down wanted peace. But suddenly, the people I trusted, friends who’d danced beside me at festivals, they flipped. Turned into voices cheering for the very harm aimed at us. It stung, deep. Like finding out your family secretly wished you ill. How do you come back from that? What could I do? I turned to X, this chaotic online space, and poured my heart out. Article after article on our history, the land, our faith. I thought, maybe I can change minds, show the other side they’re missing the truth. It was exhausting, like pushing a boulder uphill in the rain. No give, just more pushback. So I stopped. Closed the comments, turned inward. Focused on us, our people. That’s when I saw it. So many in the diaspora, didn’t know our full story. The heroes who fought for us, the ancient ties to the land, the sheer beauty of who we are as Jews. It became my thing, sharing that. Not to fight, but to build up. And wow, along the way, I found this community here on X. Warm, fierce Jews standing tall, and these amazing non-Jewish allies too. People who get it, who stand with us without asking for applause. I’m grateful, truly. For every like, every share, every message that says, “I’m with you.” It’s like finding light in a storm for me. You showed me that not everyone’s lost. You held me up when I poured my heart out here. The connection on spaces & hearing your voices filled me with hope. You allowed me to cry & to be vulnerable. You also laughed at my terrible jokes! I just want to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being here. It means more than words can say. You’ve filled me up with love & hope. Love you guys 🫶🏽
