Trump said people with dyslexia are “low IQ.”
Since I no longer have TDS, I did not feel triggered or even mad.
I would like to correct him.
I am dyslexic. My IQ is 147 😬
I was able to mask my dyslexia from everyone until college.
I read SO slow and read by making most words - memorized sight words, BUT I love puzzles and telling Matt “who done it” long before the movie is over.
Learning disabilities can make kids feel really stupid, but as an adult, I know my mind is my superpower.
Einstein, da Vinci, Edison, and George Washington showed signs of dyslexia.
My guess is that Trump was poking fun at Gavin Newson which is FAIR. He makes fun of Trump‘s intelligence constantly.
Just wanted to come on here & mark myself as safe.
Safe from TDS.
Safe from cancel culture.
Still a fan of what this administration is doing for our country!

“All the way to the river” , the new Elizabeth Gilbert book (Eat Pray Love author) is so good …. I found out about it because of some rabid hate thread accusing her of all types of ills, classic woman stuff, which just made me want to read it more, especially because hate threads are more of a signal of intense attachment rather than genuine critique, and intense attachment is a delicious energy no matter how you swing it. Now I think of what was said in that advertisement, ahem, I mean, review, and, it’s all so silly. I love indulgent freaks who touch the edge and report every detail so I don’t have to, which is exactly what Gilbert did here. A sort of elaborate intimate Investigative reporting… the kind that writers are always kind of doing but Gilbert isn’t afraid to go all the way…. Legit the title …. I am also finding it undoubtedly soothing for my own experiences with addicts, the truly vampiric ones, and that’s really all the story is , a long meditation on two people going total vampire mode, and it’s very important, helpful, sacrificial work. I never read any of her books so this is my introduction and it’s a good one. I also love that the woman who birthed an entire cultural movement and aesthetic through Eat Pray Love that is still a rather mainstream-cliche today embodied the total opposite in her study of the underworld. I appreciate it all

@stopvaccinating Any protocols for reversing vaccine damage?
I never got fat until i took vaccines to live in Vietnam. I think it damaged my thyroid.
English

Let’s set the record straight.
Measles can kill malnourished children.
Hospitals in Samoa deliberately allowed children to die by not giving vitamins A and C.
Edwin Tamasese saved dozens of children by giving vitamins A and C.
Edwin was jailed for saving lives.
This was an orchestrated plan by the Deep State to usher in vaccine mandates, which is exactly what happened.
Learn about vitamin C and vitamin A.
Feed your kids organic food.
Oh, and vaccines? They cripple immune function for life, and are all harm with zero benefit.

Chuck Norris held a 183-10-2 record and was a 6x world champion in full contact bare knuckle karate.
On top of that, he beat heavyweight kickboxing world champion Joe Lewis 3 consecutive times and also had a brutal sparring match with undefeated kickboxing world champion, Bill Superfoot Wallace, that lasted an hour and a half. According to Wallace, they practically stalemated and "beat the crap out of each other".
Chuck was trained in kickboxing/boxing by Benny The Jet Urquidez and was also trained in BJJ by the Gracies and Machados for 20 years. Even being able to submit Carlos Machado himself on occasion.
Chuck had a 315 Ibs bench press at 180 lbs bodyweight and was said to have a grip back in the day that nobody could escape from because he was so strong. Even Jean Claude Van Damme said he'd never fight Chuck Norris, despite being a kickboxing world champion himself.
Chuck held a 10th degree black belt in Chun Kuk Do, a 9th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do, an 8th degree black belt in Taekwondo, a 5th degree black belt in Karate, a 3rd degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and a black belt in Judo.
Rest in peace, Chuck!

@TheCinesthetic Wait five? I am so confused I thought there was only two.
Is the large hydron Collider colliding again? What universe is this? Was Shazam a real movie or not in this universe? Bernstein Bears or Berenstain bears?
English

Live Free or Die Hard (2007) is better than the franchise reputation it gets stuck with. The practical stunts, and the McClane–Justin Long dynamic give it real personality. The fifth film collapsed the brand, but this one doesn’t belong in that category.

@Blimp_Co2 @scaling_shields @OneFineJay He's in an airport. Also he's buying one for them and one for himself. Maybe a little Danish to go with it.
English

@scaling_shields @OneFineJay $8400 for 217 coffees is $39 per coffee. Did they come in KFC buckets?
English

my accountant told me last month he has a client who writes off $8K/month in "coffee meetings"
i asked how thats even possible
"he buys coffee for strangers at the airport"
this guy lives in nashville
flies to a different city 3-4 times a month for "business development"
sits in the airport lounge for 6 hours
walks around and spots people who look like they run businesses
"hey man heading to dallas too? can i buy you a coffee?"
15 minute conversation at the gate
exchanges linkedin
if theyre a good fit he follows up 2 days later:
"good talking to you at the airport - saw on your profile youre in [industry]. we help companies like yours with [problem]. would it make sense to explore this?"
conversion rate from coffee → booked call: 41%
last year he closed $380K in revenue from airport conversations
total cost:
- flights: $46K (only books refundable tickets, cancels half of them)
- coffees: $8,400
- lounge memberships: $1,200
total: $55,600 in expenses
return: $379,000
6.7x ROI
"why not just cold email or go to networking events"
"networking events are full of people trying to sell. airports are full of people trying to get home. their guard is down. they have time to kill. a $6 coffee feels like hospitality not a pitch."
he tracks every conversation in a notion database
airport, persons name, company, flight number, what they ordered, topics discussed
217 coffees bought last year
89 turned into calls
14 turned into clients
average deal size: $27K
the IRS audited him in 2024
he showed them:
- boarding passes
- receipts with timestamps
- linkedin messages matching the dates
- closed deals traced back to specific airports
they approved everything
his biggest month was september
sat in LaGuardia for 11 hours on a delayed flight
bought coffee for 6 people
4 of them booked calls
2 closed for a combined $61K
"that delayed flight made me more than most peoples salary"
no ads
no cold calls
no website traffic
no followers
just a guy who realized business class lounges are full of his exact ICP
and theyre all sitting there bored as hell with nothing to do
most people avoid conversations at airports
this guy built a $380K pipeline from them

In 1895, a French social psychologist named Gustave Le Bon published a book so dangerous that it became the private playbook of dictators for the next century.
Hitler quoted it. Mussolini kept it by his bedside. Edward Bernays used it to build modern propaganda.
The book's name? "The Crowd."
Its core claim: The moment people form a group, they become stupid. Not slightly dumber. Fundamentally, structurally incapable of rational thought.
And the tactics he described for controlling them still work on you right now. 🧵 (thread)

Seven cops raided a rapper’s house looking for drugs and a kidnapping victim.
Found neither. Filed no charges. Left behind a broken gate, busted doors, and one deputy eyeing a lemon pound cake in the fridge.
Afroman had security cameras rolling the whole time.
He turned the footage into diss tracks, music videos, and merch. Mocked the raid. Made money off it.
The deputies sued him for $3.9 million. Defamation. Invasion of privacy. Emotional distress.
Yesterday a jury of his peers ruled in his favor on all 13 counts. Zero damages. Case closed.
He walked out of the courthouse in an American flag suit: “I didn’t win. America won.”
They came for the lemon pound cake.
They left with nothing. 🇺🇸

@TheCinesthetic I loved it.
I never even knew critics hated it.
It also made more "sense" as a world than Mad Max did.
English

Waterworld (1995) is over-hated. Strip away the budget jokes and what’s left is a huge, strange, ambitious adventure packed with real stunts and a fully built world. It’s messy, but there’s way more movie there than people remember.

I went to the exact same location of the Cybertruck accident shown in the Fox News video. This is the US-69/59 Eastex Freeway northbound HOV lane at the Y-split near the Eastex Park & Ride exit (approaching from downtown Houston toward Humble). In the Fox News video, the vehicle failed to follow the right curve, going straight into the barrier.
Well, I tested it twice today with Tesla FSD engaged the entire time with zero human intervention. And unless you think I am a hologram speaking to you from another dimension now, it worked out really well. Here is the video of me taking the exact same curve twice, with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5.

@Grummz You are living in the future man.
It's still there, but it's being choked out.
Not games, but everyone's panicked about Firefly reboot because "their going to make it woke and ruin it"

🚨Coming soon to Britain, Pubs with warm beer so Keir Starmer can meet his Net Zero energy goals !!!
British Keir Starmer and Edward Miliband (Energy Net Zero Secretary) tell British pubs to reduce energy bills and turn off their fridges overnight.
Experts say it won't save any energy because the refrigerators will have to work twice as hard in the morning to chill down, which is actually harder on the equipment for no actual energy savings.

As someone who worked at Reality Labs: the Metaverse had real legs but was obliterated by middle management completely out of touch with how young people actually use technology.
I built a V1 tool that game developers genuinely needed, and the moment it was done, it got shipped to a team in London (to die), and I was reassigned to a "higher-priority project" that zero developers asked for.
Multiply that by every team, and you'll understand why this never took off yet cost 80 billion.
