Further counting in Ngadjuri has seen Labor’s Tony Piccolo gain on Liberal MP Penny Pratt, meaning Pratt will likely be knocked out. One Nation’s David Paton is therefore the favourite to win on Liberal preferences

🧙🏽 🍾 ❤️ 💃🏼 🧙🏼♀️ #VILEKYLE WITHDRAWAL 2000 🧙🏽 🤩 🥂 🌟 🧙🏽 On the day ARN Media have advised the ASX Kyle Sandilands no longer has a contract with the company, we’re posting #VileKyle Withdrawal 2,000. TWO THOUSAND!!! That’s 2,000 advertisers who agreed with our civil and polite request not to fund filth. 2,000 advertisers who knew their brands would be damaged by association with a show dripping with misogyny, racism, homophobia and hate. 2,000 advertisers who want Australia to be a decent place, not one where pissing competitions and proposed incest on air isn’t a thing. And 2,000 advertisers whose staff, suppliers and customers live in the 21st century, not the 1970s (or the 1870s). That’s the REAL story today. But the media almost certainly won’t report that. Both these pieces below, for example, have glaring inaccuracies and lies within them (including that the show didn’t spread to Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth because of low ratings, which is wrong, and that the withdrawals only number 540, an astoundingly glaring - and easily fact-checked - lie) but that doesn’t stop them publishing. Anyway, we’re linking these pieces both to point out the lies AND to give you access to Kyle’s statement (also in our first comment below): abc.net.au/news/2026-03-1… news.com.au/entertainment/… If you think our response to this contract termination is a little subdued, witches, you’re probably right. The past few weeks have been very difficult for us, as we’re enduring a huge wave of hate from Kyle’s supporters (which will now ramp up even further) and are, as regular witches know, also trying to secure our own safety while still continuing our crucial work. And because while of course there are celebrations to be had, there are also now another lot of people who are probably out of work at ARN, and who don’t deserve that fate. We’re exhausted. Yet satisfied. And grateful to our community here. And thankful for your good wishes and joy. And, truth be told, a little stunned. So for now, we’ll leave you with the news that yes, more than TWO THOUSAND advertisers left the show over the past almost-two years, and you heard that here first. We stand by the numbers on that list (despite them being regularly questioned and disbelieved) and will demonstrate their accuracy when the dust settles. The last thing we want to say is this: it didn’t have to be this way. This situation could have been resolved without Kyle or Jackie leaving ARN, and we’ll have more to say on this in future. Yet since Kyle refused to do what needed to be done to resolve this debacle to the satisfaction of all, this is the result. It was the only result which could have eventuated, given the circumstances. So all we can say for now is, with great relief: Kyle is off the air. And unless his behaviour significantly changes, he’s unlikely to soon return to any program with commercial advertisers. That’s true witchy power. And it’s fucking amazing. ______ Thanks so much to the Adelaide Aquatic Centre for refusing to fund Kyle’s filth. Their ads were heard for only two weeks before they fled back in early February (so more than 6 weeks ago). We chose them as our 2,000th withdrawal because they’re so typical of the advertisers we’ve listed over the past almost-two years: a small-ish business which quickly took on board our valid feedback and decided they didn’t want any part of it. We sincerely thank them for their stance. This campaign is working so well. Yet we won’t stop till advertisers stop funding filth WHEREVER IT BROADCASTS. Please also support our work and help get rid of Vile Kyle: a subscription to the future for as little as a cup of coffee (or two) per month: mfw.org.au/support Let’s go. #ToYourBrooms
