@EdLatimore My kids just grew up with it as part of their work and improved through volume of practice. They use computers at home and Chromebooks at school. Assignments during the day are completed electronically and homework is a mix of handwritten and electronic.

Question for parents with school age kids: How did schools handle typing? Do they teach it or are they expected to learn at home? Is it not even a factor because of touch screens?

Happy birthday “Hard Cold Fire”! Released OTD 2023 via @MarshallRecs & was our first UK top 30 album (#1 in the Rock Chart) in many years. Huge thanks to everyone who supported the release and came out to one of the shows! We know what we’ll be blasting later!

Double 'birthday' today...Crooked Timber released on this day in 2009 and Disquiet released on this day in 2015! What are folks other faves on both of these two? NB: the 2022 CD/digital deluxe re-issues are pretty good if you fancy revisiting either!

My new book, "In My Darkest Hour", releases on September 8th. One of most harrowing experiences of my adult life has been my seven-year journey through cancer treatment and onward into remission. This story is considerably more than just go to the doctor, get diagnosed, get treatment and hopefully I live happily ever after. This was a journey of me saving myself, staying alive, keeping my family together, and continuing to make music through it all.

@ick_real It's ok to not know something. A sign of maturity is being confident enough in yourself to recognize your areas of expertise and that some things fall outside of those areas. People can smell a bullshitter.

@bust0ff Perfection! I have non fat yogurt right now but my favorite is 2% to balance the lower calories with enough cream to bring out the chocolate flavour in the protein powder.

DID YOU READ OUR EMAIL? I’ve got good news. And then I’ve got more good news.   SPORT ZERO IS BACK   I’m genuinely surprised by how much you all missed it. In my opinion, it’s the worst Sport Drink. That’s a lie.   I’ve been forced to use it exclusively since I ran out of my personal Sport stash (I’m in Costa Rica at the moment), and I’ve learned a few things...   Not only is Sport Zero the cheapest product we make, it’s also extremely versatile.   90 servings. $40 a can. That’s about 44¢ per serving.   Here’s what I’ve been doing: 1–2 teaspoons in water, then I add sugar, fresh-squeezed lime, watermelon, and sometimes creatine. Very good.   I’m not going to lie—I do miss the flavored Sport Drinks and their consistently perfect taste. Fresh-squeezed fruit is nice, but it’s unpredictable in taste.   Either way, Sport Zero is back in stock.   I need you in a neat and orderly line. Be civil about it.   ALSO: We have a brand-new T-shirt. THE SPORT SHIRT 3   Lighter-weight cotton. Cheaper than SPORT SHIRT 2 since we made way more this time.   Please enjoy all that Sport has to offer.   We love you, SPORT DRINK

@AJA_Cortes I'm happy to see this pro manufacturing direction you have taken. I am rooting for American creatine and will buy some when available as long as it isn't prohibitively expensive. Manufacturing here creates good jobs for all skill levels of people. Offshoring was a horrible trend.

Most of my workouts are mediocre They are 20-30 min sessions Not much to brag about I've stacked thousands of these session the past 20 years of training. While someone else is "all or nothing" they end up doing nothing. I always end up doing SOMETHING. It's not catchy for the internet- HOWEVER it works for people in REAL LIFE. I teach these concepts in the DHT community and my 1-1 clients and they ALWAYS deliver results! Dudes stacking more workouts in 1 month then they have in 8 months. Guys down +15lbs I share simple ways to lose weight and improve health: Eat less and move more! For so many reading this who are overweight IT IS THAT SIMPLE ... AND EASY! The reality is I work with dozens and dozens of people in REAL LIFE.... The things I share with you on here work for people in REAL LIFE!! Stop overthinking! START DOING For the beginner ... or really anyone who just wants to be in good health... Start small. It doesn't even matter what you do for fitness! Seriously GO FOR A WALKS.... Do push ups and squats Go in the gym and do whatever machine looks interesting to you Before you work to optimize anything BUILD THE HABIT

Tough day for a lot of good people at The Washington Post and across legacy media. I genuinely feel for anyone losing their job today. But the truth is this should not be a surprise. For years, legacy outlets pushed narrow narratives, ignored opposing viewpoints, and stopped earning the trust of regular people. Viewers and readers walked away, numbers dropped, and this is the result. It is one of the reasons I left legacy media. They had to see this coming.

Here's a couple observations: -Fitness bros have a distorted view of how much muscle mass they are actually carrying -Fitness bros think they are 2-5+% lower in body fat than they really are -Since everyone is fat it's confused what optimal body weight is -Those who have tested extremes KNOW BEST. Everything else is just theory. -If you want to look and feel your best it's probably a bit leaner -The only thing that really matters is FINDING A TRAINING and NUTRITION FRAMEWORK THAT WORKS FOR YOU.
Zach Homol@zachhomol_

Getting lean means a number on a scale that most think is “very small” or “super skinny” Even fitness culture has moved so far away from this reality with PEDs and BULK BROS I’d say most guys would look and feel best between 140-165lbs 165-185lbs for the guys 6+foot
