I asked Fable 5 "What's the biggest scam humanity has collectively accepted?" it listed stuff that's interesting, but familiar; working your life away, chasing immortality through legacy, the idea that legitimacy flows downward from institutions rather than upward from people... (100% agree on that one, btw) how Claude ended this really got me "maybe none of these are scams at all, just the unavoidable overhead of coordinating eight billion primates." 😅

Rahm Emmanuel says that Israel has never been so diplomatically isolated which is false. Israel was far more isolated in 1990, with no relations with China, India, or Russia, much less the UAE, and even more so in the 1970s, when European countries would routinely release any Palestinian terrorists they caught, even those who murdered Jews on European soil, and there was a state of war with Egypt, which proved nearly fatal in 1973, to the basic law difference of every country in the world but the US. My basic plea here is that before one makes a major public speech on Israel, at least get the basic facts straight.

1) We killed about 30% of Japan's entire military aged male population in WW2. They called it the Lost Generation. 2) Japan had an extreme stigma of people who were visibly war veterans, especially those with disabilities. The violent genocidal Japanese were wiped out in WW2. Due to how Japan fought, the true believers in the cause tended to die in suicidal attacks. Those who didn't were disproportionately the less violent who either avoided service entirely, or didn't fight with conviction. Post war the remaining wounded survivors were shunned by society, didn't have as many kids, and couldn't pass on their culture. Plus of course, it was essentially an unconditional surrender, so on top of these factors the Allies could impose social reforms. There _are_ remnants of WW2 era violent culture in Japan. I've seen their demonstrations myself. But it's never been able to grow enough to be significant. 3) Japan is populated by smart Shintos/Buddhists rather than Gaza's low-IQ Muslims. Their dominant religions are much better suited to creating a peaceful industrial society, and the population are much more capable of it. Gaza won't change until Hamas and other Islamic groups are dismantled and everyone involved in them is either killed or otherwise removed from society. And even then, it's probably not going to be enough.

The name of this wave I have right now, is 'presence' - how can we make AI be present across human environments (digital and physical as one), understand human intent, and be proactive. 2. We have some really cool stuff to share in this regards in the next days/weeks and months! 3. I've been open source, pro-privacy and data ownership advocate for many years, and actively created projects and products in this space, directly. 4. Generally, I'd say Israel has top tier talent, and its people are behind the technologies you all use every single day on your phone, computer, in your cloud, GPUs, the AI models themselves, everything. If you choose to boycutt, I ask you do it fully, and good luck! (you probably can't reply to this tweet without touching an Israeli technology) 5. Turkey was kicked out of the F-35 program during the first Trump administration for purchasing Russian S-400 missiles, which it still possesses today. Since then Turkey has only grown more aggressive against critical American allies such as Greece and Cyprus, increased oppression of its people, and made the region even more unstable. The law is clear: the Trump administration is required to certify to Congress that Turkey is in compliance with our laws before any sale can even be considered. So, Turkey would’ve fought on Iran’s side but for Trump’s intervention?  That means Turkey would’ve fought against us not just Israel.  Israel was our ally in fighting Iran.
