@ostracreates @CameronMcNerney Thanks Paulina! More like kitty cat communication 😺. But definitely time to get the band back together.

One year later changes everything!
Last year, 2023, it was tough for me...
😓Overweight, ngl, I was morbidly obese
😢Became single after a long-term relationship
😭Felt miserable about the future in general
🤤Loved pizza too much
😖Had nobody to share any dreams. Yours or mine.
This year, 2024, I became tougher...
👍Healthy weight, not too much or too little
👍Dedicated to improving my quality of life
👍Turned my lost time into learning tech & AI
👍Less pizza, but I still crave those slices
👍Over 1000 of the world's BEST connections
Next year, 2025:
🌖I don't know where the future goes, but I am grateful to know you—here and now!
🌗I don't always dare to post every piece of art I make, but this surreal work MUST be shown to you!
You only deserve the best.
🌘Is this post good enough for you?
You deserve ONLY the BEST.
Rinse and respect in the repeat.
( This is my internal cycle in my shifting PfP. )
The tools will change, guaranteed!
However, my artwork is alive!
It is alive!
Already, you and I...
We're on destiny's path together.
This 2024 equals my lived year of gratitude & thankfulness! You never know what battles people are facing behind the screen:
🌗For physical health
💙For emotional well-being and availability
🌹For intellectual growth
🍕For the love of God, help me, Lord... Pizza be still!
🔥For dreaming and creating the best art experience for you. This is my rose over the horizon (my hope).
I attribute any personal growth in these areas to you (because I became connected with you).
Most of all, thank you!
For making the whole time worth it to continue.
Victory is in this moon
-Cam

@CameronMcNerney @ostracreates Well, if that's not going to get me roaring back to X nothing is! Thank you for the very generous interpretation of my absence. Life has been busy, but I miss being on here. Promise you'll see more of me soon.

@ostracreates @calvinbrown is being his best! Working his magic unseen and making the world a better place. No joke, that’s true. Hopefully, soon on 𝕏 again for us too. 🙏Here’s my artistic e𝕏pression of Calvin, the expert communicator!

@NorthstarBrain Great breakdown Alex. I think they're likely a first step to something more complex, but I quite like their simplicity. Easy to create and easy to use. I like how simple it is to see their instructions!

Good afternoon y’all, I hope you’re having a good weekend?
This morning we had fun visiting Shelburne Farms, and now we’re relaxing while kiddo #2 is napping.
I’ve shared a few pictures of Shelburne Farms in the past but today I didn’t take any as we were just enjoying nature. Just so you can better imagine the scale of this amazing place, see the Google Maps screenshot below, Shelburne Farms is a *massive* place by Lake Champlain. Now, imagine well maintained trails everywhere, as well as fun educational activities for kids and visitors of all ages (see “Farm Barn” on map for kids stuff in particular).
When we were in Westchester County NY we were pretty lucky as we also had access to really cool local farms and hiking trails, but this was nothing in comparison with what Vermont has to offer.
If you’re interested in Vermont and are considering moving here, or even just visiting, check Shelburne Farms’ website. It’s a pretty good example of how nature is well preserved here, in a way which makes it as accessible to all as possible.
Not much to say apart from the fact we feel incredibly lucky to have this place within driving distance. No, we absolutely do not miss NYC metro area, and no, we don’t feel like we’re missing out on what we would have access to if we were in any other big metropolitan area.
Quite frankly, I can’t think of a better place for free range kids to grow up, especially considering we’re still fairly close to Montreal, Boston, etc., so we still have access to museums and cultural activities you’d expect to find in metropolitan areas.
Anyway, I hope y’all have an excellent weekend, and if you happen to visit Vermont one day, let me know if you need any recommendations regarding places to visit. ☺️

My excuses for trying to get more technical with AI are fast disappearing.
Can anyone suggest some good resources to get going with Google Studio?

We are giving developers 1,500,000,000 tokens for free everyday in the Gemini API There is no stronger developer value proposition out there 🧵 (1/4)
English

@RachelVT42 Fantastic. It's so great for their confidence to realise how much they can do by themselves. My three are pretty good, but we definitely haven't cracked tidying up after playtime!
English

Parenting tip of the week: never underestimate your children.
Kiddo #1 is still <5 and there are many processes she now executes on autopilot, requiring little to no supervision.
E.g.:
- feeding the cat
- setting the table
- loading the dishwasher
- grinding coffee
- making coffee
- supervising #2 on simple tasks
- teaching stuff to #2
- cleaning up if either of them make a mess
- operating Roborock
- tidying up after playtime
- buttering bread
- making sandwiches
- preparing pack lunches
- etc.
It’s all about breaking down processes and workflows in simple steps, explaining things a few times, then letting kids grow into their own “ZPD”.
Learn to get out of their way and kids are easy. Don’t underestimate them and let them become more awesome every day.
English

@OnwardsProject Really impressive! It's been about six months since I played around with video generation. Amazing progress since then.

I now have Gemini Live. Promising and fairly natural when it works. But a bit buggy and more likely to mishear or cut out than the original ChatGPT voice.
One tip for UK users. Change the language in the app to US English to get a choice of more than one voice.
Calvin Brown@calvinbrown
This is something I've been really hoping for, but didn't expect to arrive so soon. I can now go from impatiently waiting for ChatGPT advanced voice to Gemini Live. At least the wait should be hours rather than months.
English

@MrBildo @ChrisUniverseB Absolutely. Don't even have to lean into that much. The more you deny it the more they believe.
English

I don’t mean to be cynical, but imagine you just created an X account, you’re interested in AI, so you join an AI space. For some reason, your voice and cadence kind of sounds like AI and all of a sudden you’re getting all this attention because people think you’re AI. You’re now a minor celebrity.
What incentive would you have to prove you’re not AI?

@NorthstarBrain I'm willing to buy that people are easily fooled, and even more so by AI. I really want to believe that's the point he is making.
English

@calvinbrown People are gullible and bored. And strawberry is a good marketer. Simple.
I had enough fluff and I ain't buying what he's pitching.
