@TalktoHenryJ You can use Claude Code within Cursor. Best of both worlds.
English

Ok, I like Claude Code. I think I get it… but mainly because I can run Opus 4.6 more than I could with Cursor.
I haven’t implemented any skills yet though. Just raw dogging the LLM.
What’s everyone using for Claude Code skills to make their building better / easier?
One I know I need to look into is @figma. I want Claude to make the first version of some designs… can it do that?
I guess I’ll report back soon.

I just started using Claude Code... I know, I'm super late but... Are yall just accepting all code changes? I feel like it's hard to understand everything without the IDE.
English

@cameronsmith @openclaw @stuartchaney That's super cool! Do you trigger these updates manually or have you setup a periodic checks and everything is automated?
English

Anybody building some insane stuff with @openclaw in Shopify ecosystem?
I already know @stuartchaney is doing some insane work there.
Would love to talk and share learnings ✅
We are doing some great stuff internally!

@wealthpotion @MarcioClutch @thesamparr @BrianNorgard Your 'objective' morality is still subjective and changes depending on the current culture
English

@MarcioClutch @thesamparr @BrianNorgard Debunked how? Are you saying morality is indeed subjective? Or that objective morality can be achieved without religion?
English

@wealthpotion @BrianNorgard so what if your god says that killing is ok?
English

@wealthpotion @thesamparr @BrianNorgard Better than when we pretended a god was telling us how to be moral
English

Well yes in a certain sense, a God fearing and God following man makes moral decisions because he believes them to be objectively defined by God.
Easy example: Luigi Mangione killing that CEO was not a difference of opinion - murder is wrong and we do not need a podcast debating it.
I was agnostic / borderline atheist for 30 years and told myself that we define our own morality and that my purpose in life was to become the best version of myself. So who am I to argue that Luigi Mangione wasn’t doing exactly that? That in his view, killing that CEO is the best version of himself? If you spent any time on social media around that time, you remember that this was NOT a wild idea - many people still believe he was correct in doing so.
Moral relativism will be the downfall of atheism and it will awaken many young men and women to the transcendent good. In other words, God.

@ChrisHantis @darius_gai We should thank them for the beating daddy
English

@darius_gai So if no one complained about their belly aching you would have kept it at 16KB? I say we give em’ hell 🔥 and see where we can really settle up at. Get your pitchforks ⚔️ 😆🤣 who’s with me?
English

Shopify devs, we heard you on the recent change to metafield limits.
After discussions with the community, we've revised our approach: 128KB for JSON (not 16KB), 64KB for all other types (existing limit).
Additionally, existing apps who use JSON fields will be grandfathered at the current 2MB limit, and we'll have an intake process where new apps can apply for higher limits where necessary.
Thanks for the detailed feedback. It made us revisit our assumptions and improved our POV.

@BallinFil Shopify Admin API + Claude Code 🤯 It's so good.
Then you start adding in tools like Google Search Console or Ahref..
Most of the work I've been doing is on the backend.
Though next month I'll be focusing on the customer experience and working on doubling our sales.

Shopify claude code update:
I 1-shotted a bulk discount code uploader that replaces the need for a bulk discount app.
It can also do weirdly awesome things if I need it to:
- edit codes in bulk
- analyze all codes on the store and look up the web to see if we have leaks
- calculate profitability of codes if I give it margins
This took me ~30 mins to setup, and now I can re-use for clients in the future...
I entered 0 lines of code and had it walk me through how apps & api tokens so claude would have the necessary info.
Holy smokes
English

@Tongesy I'm actually using Claude Code inside Cursor; it's a pretty good experience.
English

@cameronsmith Agree. Ended up switching to ghostty/opencode so I can use codex/claude subs. If I could use those in cursor, I’d be back.
English

I much prefer using Cursor, but I run out of tokens way too fast vs Claude Code and the max sub.

Today we announced we’re removing >90 Cursor seats because they haven’t had any use in two weeks
