I want to have an AWS region where everything breaks with high frequency. EC2 networks dropping packets, EBS volumes hanging and failing, entire AZs dropping offline, etc. If it breaks 0.001% of the time in us-east-1, I want it to break 1% of the time in us-fail-1. #awswishlist

Today is my last day at @heroku @salesforce. It's been an incredible journey over the last 4+ years and I'm grateful for getting to work with such an amazing group of people. Sharing some of that experience with our @BlackHatEvents talk this week was a great way to cap it off.

@camille_: security pros observe an engineer's "desire path," where engr diverts fr the more secure "paved path." If we demo respect for needs the engineer is meeting by cutting across the grass, we can generate both trust (to get back on path) or creativity (to create new path).

@CA_DMV I have been waiting for months for my driver's license, and been told to call 916 657 7445 to check with legal presence if that was the hold up but that number just hangs up due to "higher than average call volumes". Is there any other way to find out what is going on?
