Seedcamp has raised a huge $320m for its 7th early stage fund and $100m to double down on its winners! The firm was co-founded in 2007 by @rsohoni and @cape with a $2.5m fund. It's now led by Reshma and Carlos and manages an insane $1bn AUM. It's become one of the leading early-stage funds in Europe. @seedcamp Fund III has now returned over 13x DPI to its LPs, and Fund IV sits at over 5x net TVPI. Some of the companies it has backed include @RevolutApp, @Wise, @UiPath, @SynthesiaIO and @fluidstack. Today it is announced raising an additional $320m. The money is split with $220m for Seedcamp VII, the flagship first check fund, and $100m for the Select fund, which focuses primarily on backing portfolio winners as they scale toward Series B and beyond. The team at @creandum have had one of the greatest weeks in European Venture history: > Trade Republic got valued at €12.5bn - the team backed them at Series A back in 2019 > Lovable got valued at $6.6bn - the team backed them at their pre-Series A in January 2025 > Fuse Energy got valued at $5bn - the team invested in their Series A back in 2022 3 insane companies across Germany, Sweden and the UK. The markup their funds must have seen this week is wild. When we look back at this period and analyse fund performance I wouldn't be at all surprised if Creandum comes out on top. The UK has more Unicorns 🦄 and $100M+ revenue Thoroughbreds 🐎 than France, Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands combined. Yet, the narrative is often one of economic decline. @cape’s latest piece in @ObserverUK UK argues that the UK is sitting on a massive, underpriced long-term asset: its innovation economy. With $21bn in VC funding this year and a massive push into Deep Tech, the "gloomy sentiment" simply doesn't match the data.
