@ScarredForLife2 I have spent my adult life trying to find other people that remember these ‘accident waiting to happen’ shoes….anyone?

@IrritableChris @GeorgWestington @Otto_English And why would the Telegraph be wilfully inciting hatred of its own readership? More likely it was concocted for the exact opposite reason and the upper class twit hack accidentally strayed into the realms of parody and the story slipped through on a bank holiday weekend.
English

The images for the family are shutterstock photos. There are no records of this family anywhere and the telegraph pulled it when it was outed as completely fabricated.
The reason for it being fabricated and published in the first place? Likely to do what it's done, reignite the class war and hatred for the "rich", paint anyone like private school parents as a pariah, and provide general rage bait for people who thrive on posting hate and spite toward people who just make a different choice when doing what they feelnis best for their children.

@GeorgWestington @IrritableChris @Otto_English I read it on their site this morning, they appear to have taken it down, here is an archived version archive.ph/RqFix

@cathrynfraser @IrritableChris @Otto_English wasn't there when I searched. I'm sure you'll be happy to provide a link

@IrritableChris @Otto_English Where was it ‘proven’ to be a fake story? It was on the Telegraph’s own website.

English

@Otto_English Proven to be a fake story, yet those who are posting it still don't apologise or delete.

@GeauxGabrielle There was a similar case in Ireland in 2014 before they legalised abortion. By the time the courts had decided that life support could by switched off, the poor woman had multiple infections and her brain had started to rot.

@MaeveHalpinCoun @GeauxSeeTheLady I remember this, it was the first thing I thought of when I heard this story. The detail that’s always stuck with me is that, by the time it was decided that they could do the right thing and switch off life support, the poor woman’s brain had started to rot. It’s horrifying.

@GeauxSeeTheLady We had our own version of this horror story here in Ireland channel4.com/news/clinicall…

A brain dead woman in Georgia is being kept 'alive' against her family's wishes because of the state's abortion ban.

@speakoutsister @shadowspinner She might as well have got that, there’s not much difference, one’s about a guy called Christian getting BDSM, the other’s about a guy who is a Christian getting BDSM.

Have you tried a bookshop Madam?
Victoria Rixon@Victoria_Rixon
Just walked into my local British Red Cross to purchase the Bible. A volunteer told me they refuse to sell the Holy Bible because it’s “discriminatory” to other religions. This isn’t tolerance—it’s erasure. We are living in a waking nightmare.

@SeanBrodrick @PulpLibrarian They are one and the same. It was published in the US as ‘No Blade of Grass’, it’s also the title of the film adaptation.
English

@PulpLibrarian Does this have a similar plot to the book “No Blade of Grass”?

@2hrTV I hate Magnum ads with a vengeance! It puts me off them for fear of breaking a tooth.

@Dilapidatedjugs @EugeneMorr93535 @BBCNews That’s maybe one aspect, but when a woman is considered for a job, her prospective plans for having children will be taken into account, whether consciously or not, in a way that would never happen for a man.
