@brian_armstrong @arrington This is reminiscent of bullish Zora posts that were beyond delusional.

How long until agentic payments overtake human payments?
Brian Armstrong@brian_armstrong
Very soon there are going to be more AI agents than humans making transactions. They can’t open a bank account, but they can own a crypto wallet. Think about it.
English

@brian_armstrong @arrington Doesn’t a real person have to give the AI agent moneys to spend, where does this money come from? Not trying to be a smart ass, inform me.
English

@brian_armstrong @arrington So 1000 dudes are going to deploy 100000 agents? How is this helpful or even bullish?

@itsmejeremy77 @dfinity Idk maybe because ICP actually does something besides being a token ledger, but until it trades like popular token ledgers the crypto bros are gonna say it is a scam , maybe? Idk
English

Did I miss something or has there been literally no thought-out mission70 reasoning by @dfinity for such major network changes to tokenomics $ICP.
Where are the examples/reasonings as to why this would directly benefit the token price for holders/stakers?
itsmejeremy@itsmejeremy77
I'm surprised there's been no thought-out mission70 reasoning mathematically considering markets & derivatives including exchanges balances plus buys and sells from large holders to explain why this will be beneficial & not just a loss. I was hoping for thought out reasons.. $ICP
English

@ICP100X @jerrybanfield following @jerrybanfield ‘s vote and not @dfinity is absolutely bat shit crazy.
English

$ICP Community
It was posted yesterday, @jerrybanfield voted his neurons (including those who follow his neuron for voting) nay on Mission 70 proposal & some/if not all/most would've voted yay. Therefore, I propose a change to the voting in that, if u follow a neuron & dont agree with way it voted, we have ability to change vote (1 time) before voting period ends.
What u guys think?

@FischerKing64 It's Talarico's own internal campaign poll. Obviously a sham poll, but @PpollingNumbers won't disclose that fact.

I refuse to believe that Texans would elect such a transparently phony individual.

@bighab247 @dfinity They seem to think 1000 tokens at 2.00 is more that 100 tokens at $$100 dollars, can’t fix stupid.
English

The difference for $ICP Mission 70?
My understanding
You got the whales voting no, because they want to keep control of their free minted tokens and unsustainable rewards?
You have the yes votes. Understanding @dfinity concept for tokenomics?
What do think the difference is

English

@OWHistory I don’t think @Zero2HeroZombie is paid, could be wrong but he’s seems to have balanced sentiment. He isn’t rabid retard like can’t stop Murad dude.
English

True, but I’m not holding 5 years after holding 5 years, then 5 years gets here and there is a new roadmap. Coming from the mindset of holding $XRP , I’m not buying the 20 year roadmaps just not down with that. I will cut bait and turn the page. Now if it 5Xs near term (1-2 years)and holds I may stick around to see what happens.
English

Of course, everyone wants a higher price but lower inflation doesn’t automatically mean price goes up.
Cutting voting rewards also means cutting returns for those who committed to 8-year lockups based on the original promise of higher rewards for higher risk.
Let’s be real:
Stakers are the ones who’ve taken the biggest hit during price drawdowns. Node operators and developers aren’t exposed to price in the same way.
Ultimately it's up to stakers whether they want their share reduced further.
There’s also a real risk here:
If you reduce rewards and shorten lockups, you may reduce the incentive to stake while simultaneously making it easier to exit early.
At the end of the day, what Internet Computer really needs is simple: Adoption. Usage. Demand.
A massive amount of it.
Everything else is secondary.

@ShannonJean This reminds of trading penny stocks, you can get the best info about particular ticker by talking trash about it. People will come out of the woodworks with good info trying to protect their bags.

I h@te selling. Like, genuinely can't stand trying to convince someone to buy from me.
So I stopped.
Here's what I do instead — and why it's made me more money than any sales tactic I've tried:
The first step is to invert the focus and discuss the opportunity rather than the sale.
This is where not knowing can be so helpful.
Asking “I have an opportunity, but I don’t know much about the (market, product, business, etc.), can open doors and lead to long-term relationships that make you rich.
Why?
Most people want to help others, especially when you approach them as a novice.
You are leveraging the natural human tendency to share knowledge to help others.
This novice outlook also removes the sales pressure. You are not approaching someone trying to sell; you are asking for information.
Ideally, what you want to happen is that the person sharing knowledge with you sees the opportunity and they say something like, “I would buy that product at this price.”
Try this tactic and let me know how it works for you. The key is to test it BEFORE you buy the product that you want to sell.
Use what you learn to determine a buy and sell price, and hopefully, attract a customer who sees the value and wants what you are selling.
Protect your beginner’s mind at all costs.

@itsmejeremy77 @Crypto_RVD They have layerZero , ethereum and solana and probably a bunch of dogshit Eth layer twos they were conned into buying by dudes over @Consensys

@itsmejeremy77 @Crypto_RVD The No’s so far are probably the VCs , the A-Zs etc.

Most of the folks on X that talk about $ICP probably have small amounts staked and or are spot traders. Not that hard to understand. Those that are voting no don’t give two shits about the longevity or success or the project, they probably have thousands bought before genesis or they are actual nut cases that used to do crazy ass you tube videos talking about all you need is 111. 😂
English

@ourcryptotalk $ICP only all the rest are just token ledgers, glorified excel spreadsheets.

Here's the tweet explained like you're 5 (but with just enough detail to make sense):
**The big idea in plain English:**
Think of building a website or app like opening a restaurant. In the old days, if it got super busy, you'd have to run around adding tables, hiring extra cooks, and rewriting your menu every single day — total chaos.
Modern cloud services (like the ones Google or Amazon use) fixed that. They say: "Don't just *hope* it won't crash when a million people show up. Let the building automatically add more tables and kitchens for you." You don't touch your recipes (the code); the restaurant's foundation (the infrastructure) just grows on its own.
DFINITY's Internet Computer (ICP) is doing the same thing, but on a decentralized "world computer" instead of one big company's servers. Their founder, Dominic Williams, puts it simply in the picture:
> "Once you control your own corner of the cloud network, you can scale the capacity of your apps by changing its configuration — **without touching a single line of code**."
In other words:
- You build your app normally.
- When it needs to handle more users, traffic, or power?
- You just tweak a setting (like turning up the volume on a stereo).
- The network magically adds more computer power behind the scenes.
No rewriting code, no manual work, no "hope it doesn't break." It's automation, baby — exactly like the Google engineering handbook says: "Hope is not a strategy. Automation is."
That's the tweet's message: ICP isn't some weird blockchain thing anymore. It's turning decentralized apps into something as easy and powerful as today's best cloud services… but without any single company owning or shutting it down.
Super simple takeaway: **Your app grows automatically, like magic, while you sit back and chill.** 🚀
English

This reflects a core shift in modern cloud infrastructure - ICP’s cloud engines build on principles already present in cloud architecture.
As the 'Site Reliability Engineering: How Google Runs Production Systems' handbook puts it:
“Hope is not a strategy. Automation is.”
Autoscaling and infrastructure abstraction separate application code from infrastructure capacity, meaning scaling happens at the infrastructure layer, not inside the code itself.
