@ankurmittal This is called breaking banks ego. Hdfc card was announced weeks ago, but hardly anyone got the invite. Now once sbi rapidly starts issuing cards within no time, hdfc will send the application invite only after seeing the demand getting snatched..

HDFC has launched the cards with PhonePe recently, which hasn't been available to most people for application and now PhonePe has launched the cards with SBI Card. Can't understand the logic of launching cards with 2 different top card issuers within a month. I think in this case HDFC would be in loss as SBI PhonePe cards look better on paper. The card issuers should have agreement with the Fintech that no other card issuer would launch the card within specific time period.
