@TXdoxiemomma @lady_valor_07 Growing up in the 70s, we had two mental health days per week. We called them "weekends."
English

@lady_valor_07 No. I dont even think those 3 words were ever put together in one sentence in the 80's. "Mental Health Day" GTFO. A Gen-X mom sent you to school unless you were actively puking or running a fever over 100.
English

@MarylandYinzer @kylecorwintakes I suppose, but would it be worth it to get your home opener three days sooner? I mean, a team starting on the road for three, going home for three, and then back on the road?
English

It's insane to me that some MLB teams have to wait over a week to have their "Opening Day."
Every team should have their home opener in either the first or second series of the season.
"tRavEL LoGiSTicS"
We have computers for that. We don't have that husband and wife doing all the team schedules by hand anymore.
English

@shegone03 @rogerclemens I've always hated the narrative (or fact) that veterans "earned the right to have officials cheat in their favor."
English

Can I get an ABS challenge on this on from July 12, 1997?
I’m pretty sure it was not a strike.
@rogerclemens struck out 16 that day!
Back in those days the veteran pitchers sometimes got the benefit of pitches off the plate but that’s because they earned it.
We hitters thought it was BS but we understood.

@dubs_thoughts Game I was at, they "lost" to the Loco Beach Coconuts, so . . .
English

If you think the answer to this is yes, you’re a fucking moron
Baseball Bros@BaseballBros
Could the Savannah Bananas beat the Rockies?
English

@bantheshift No, it's the equivalent of "Could the University of Southern North Dakota at Hoople beat the New York Jets."
English

this is the baseball equivalent of could Alabama beat the New York Jets
the answer is always no
Baseball Bros@BaseballBros
Could the Savannah Bananas beat the Rockies?
English

@Joba_44 I’ve always thought they should be limited to strike 3 or ball 4 calls. Keep the big AB from getting killed by a bad call.
English

Still think there isn’t 1 clear answer. We have to let it play out some more
Not A Rookie Bus Driver@SportyBusDriver
@Joba_44 Joba, what do you think is the solution to batters not challenging the egregious misses? Teams are clearly hesitant to risk challenges, but the whole point of the system is to eliminate those
English

@BhSails @JustinMacmahan They’re not, as long as they’re correct. Technically they’re unlimited. Which is a problem.
English

@JustinMacmahan Agree but they shouldn’t be limited to just 2 for the team.
English

@JustinMacmahan All the calls should be challenged, more than 700 calls unchallenged missed this season
English

@ShipMyMoneyDFS @JustinMacmahan Thank you!! Replay should be there only to fix missed calls, not find ticky tack ways for a guy to be out.
English

@JustinMacmahan And this would get rid of my biggest pet peeve around all of it: the “he’s out because actually his finger came a quarter inch off the base while the infielder was holding the glove on him for 15 seconds”
English

@JustinMacmahan The ABS system would be perfect if the teams got 3 challenges per game, right or wrong. That means they’d only get used in key at bats. Fix the game altering mistakes without much disruption.
English

@kylecorwintakes @cdmauger Every home stand should be a minimum of 6 to 9 games, and that includes the first 6 to 9 games of the season. It would be very impractical to play only 3 at home and then go on the road.
English

@BronxBomberBall At this point the Boone bashing is just white noise. They don't even think, it's just knee-jerk criticism that contradicts itself. "Doval only threw two pitches! Send him back out!"
Two days later: "Why did he bring in that loser Doval?"
English

@JoeTramutolo23 @ShaunMorash Two days ago: BaBOONE! Why not let Doval come back for another inning!
English

@ShaunMorash Tim Hill should have come in to start the 8th. Seattle had 4 lefty hitters in a row. Don’t understand bringing in Doval
English

Just idiotic, I get the bullpens been great. Cam was showing no signs of slowing down and was totally economical. If this game is a loss it’s absolutely on Boone.
Shaun Morash@ShaunMorash
Pulling Cam at 79?
English

@MaxxEmker @ShaunMorash He used three pitchers. His starter, setup man, and closer. He didn't pinch hit anyone.
That's "overmanaging" to you?
Also, the Yankees won, so there's that.
English

@ShaunMorash Boone consistently costs us games with his over managing.
English

@kc_dos_siete @ShaunMorash Sitting Stanton on exactly the right day, and the two guys who benefit drive in all the runs?
Genius.
English

@ShaunMorash The win is on him now though right? Or it doesn’t work that way for you
