OK, I'll bite: There is nothing strange about a people who’ve fled a regime that traumatized & tormented them to a point of where they’re desperate for its destruction, no matter how it comes about. Of course they’re going to follow & interpret news differently from you. Of course, they wouldn’t be receptive to a lecture on how it’s better to make peace & do business w/ a regime they hate more than you hate your own govenment. Would you consider those who fled the Nazis in the 1930s to be “strange” for seeking Hitler’s downfall no matter how many bombs fall on Germany? Blow-back is not a one-way street. Every person the mullah regime in Iran tortured & executed creates more enemies of that regime—and more desperation to be exploited by other more powerful regime enemies w/ different motives. Your dismissal of Persian diaspora & others who’ve fled regimes that have been worse to them than ours is why your message of freedom isn’t landing w/ that crowd. Failing to understand their predicament, you wave them off as “strange,” so they turn to someone else w/ a message of war against their enemies.

What can one say about the Iranian diaspora? You'd think they'd follow the news but they don't. They think Israel and the US have their best interests at heart. You have to remind them of the so-called freedom that was brought to Syria and Libya. Strange people

The fact that people unlike Colbert also love those stories is an obvious proof that you have your head up your ass, when it comes to this particular subject.

I'm not interested in this upcoming "Hunt for Gollem" project. I'd rather the Peter Jackson team were adapting the Battle of Dol Guldur. It'd make a great send-off for Cate Blancett's Galadriel. Since it takes place after the destruction of Sauron's Ring, it's at a time when Galadriel's own magic ring no longer works, and she's diminishing. But before she can retire to Valinor, she must oversee this one last battle. That's the movie I want to see, not Andy Serkis' reprisal of Gollem.

My mother taught us black American history when we were in elementary school. The vast majority of those incredible stories of courage, intelligence, savvy that we learned have NEVER been told in plays, film, television. Instead, the Left declare bullying into white history is the "win". This is creating another generation of people who believe black people have never accomplished anything, and the only way to prevail is to push ourselves into the history (and stories) of whites. Subconscious effect = black people become more insecure + entitled + believe bullying is how you win. Racism doesn't decline if you only change the target. Anti-white racism is still racism and doesn't improve the circumstances of black people. Trumpeting and INCREASING OUR OWN ACCOMPLISHMENTS is the only way forward.

No it's not. It's been the norm for centuries, just as it has w/ every other broad category of "race." Is there "unity" among whites, Asians or Ibero-Americans? No. There are numerous different tribes/ethnicities w/ different ways of life, and there's no shortage of rivalry. Isn’t it funny that the left always assumes that when they increase tax rates, tax revenues will go up? What did they study, anthropology or gender? Given where most European countries stand, cutting tax rates would boost growth and increase tax revenues. Why don’t they do it?

The Teena Marie point I’ll concede. She’s in a class of her own and there is not a close second. But the problem is a lot of the blue eyed soul artists dipping in rock. So despite them doing a mountain of R&B songs, they weren’t classified as such. Sara Smile (as an example) by Hall & Oates is an R&B song through and through. It ain’t “soft rock” or whatever they tried classified it as. Same with Rich Girl
