The four-seam and slider were generating whiffs, but Detmers was lit up for 8 earned runs. ⏩Detmers's four-seam was cooking with a 28.3% swinging-strike rate on Tuesday, which he was peppering across the top part of the zone. Detmers has been commanding the four-seam well, with a 105 Location+ before Tuesday. 🛝The slider elicited a 25% swinging-strike rate, with a couple of those whiffs coming low and below the zone to Brent Rooker, aligning with the 57% chase rate on Tuesday. Over the past two seasons, Detmers's slider has been located better, given his 118 Location+ (2026), close to 2025 (112 Location+). That will help his above-average slider perform well if he commands it. The skills and stuff for Detmers keep sucking us into him for fantasy purposes.
