Today’s teachable moment
If you are MANIPULATING patients with Ank Spond, there is an entire profession that will stand opposite you in court to explain why what you did was “a bit murdery”

Rejecting evidence-based breast cancer treatment isn’t irresponsible (Elle Macpherson is free to choose what happens to her body).
Cutting out the cancer & telling everyone you used “an intuitive, heart-led, holistic approach” is irresponsible. 😠

A joint statement on Bystander Bleeding Control for London.
People can lose a lot of blood, very quickly from bleeding wounds. Pressing directly on a wound with a piece of material until help arrives can make all the difference.
We encourage all Londoners to get confident in delivering basic first aid to bleeding wounds.

Deaths from knife injuries would be more than double what they are now if it wasn't for advances in the science and practice of trauma care.
@BBCRadio4 describes how, in the course of 20 years, we've increased the number of people getting to hospital alive, and dramatically reduced the chances of death from major bleeding.
It's still 1 in 5 though.
