@BuzzPatterson Pilots nowadays have 0 clue on how to report and differentiate between chop + frequency and levels of turbulence. You can thank social media for usurping the standards and pushing false narratives .

@chpstr89 @brianmnagy @champwebdotnet That would have come down to if Chevy wanted the engine used. When it was announced Herta wouldn’t, Andretti also announced they wouldn’t field the car, AND Honda announced they wouldn’t be looking for that engine to get used.

@brianmnagy @champwebdotnet @chpstr89 One of the 2025 cars ran with no sponsors while having financial issues behind the scenes, they still had engines held for them until the last minute. Military actions forced a re-write of the F2 season. Without those 2 big factors, there are 34 cars attempting to make the 500.

Getting old sucks. I tripped over a ladder on Sunday and hit my knee, fell to the ground and was looking at the sky. Thought simultaneously, “This is how I die” and “I used to be an athlete.” 🤣 || 💪🏼

If we deport all the illegals and the hourly rate to work on a farm has to QUADRUPLE to get non illegals to do it, the cost of food will still go down dramatically Not to mention the cost of housing, car insurance, road maintenance, school administration, welfare programs therefore taxes, and everything else under the sun

2% of illegal aliens are picking crops. 59% of families with illegal aliens are on public assistance. Deport them all. It isn't worth the expense.

Agreed and they don’t have the capital because it’s the least know of major race series because it is walled off to protect its current owners. F1 has eroded all privateers and that’s a huge loss to the character of F1. Their business now is not racing, it’s a personality social media outlet and they have closed off live tv and gone “closed circuit. They don’t care about their fans either.

@chpstr89 That’s not entirely true. They don’t have the capital of an F1 to make some of these moves. F1 has the clout to simply say to the teams/manufactures this is what we are doing.

t's several fold. Owners don't want it because they can't guarantee to sponsors that their car will be in the show if there's bumping. Owners don't want car development annually because again, they don't want to pass cost onto the sponsors, thus denying teams to form and use older equipment to qualify. There is no way a team using a current car wants to be bumped by "old tech." In addition, Indycar is a very closed entity. The days of "build it, qualify it and race it" are long gone but that's what started Indy 500 lore and adoration. Fox's nose is now well under the tent. Their effort is going to be towards making this a TV event and mitigate what it's like to "be at Indy" for the race. They don't want to spend anymore money to cover any more than they have too. Adverts even during qualifying or practice is ridiculous, let alone the race. This push by RP for TV coverage , again, pushed by FOX is truly antiquated mindset in todays media age. All practice , qualifying, racing should be self produced and streamed live on all platforms. Especially youtube. Get away from the siloed mentality of TV, get your product out there. The problem is, Indycar is the best racing that no one watches. I love it and follow it but the noose is ever tightening and who know how it ends. 4 teams (essentially) are the series. They're happy and thats all that matters. Not the fan, not the drivers just them. Sorry for the rambling rant.

@IndyOreo I think those cars from '87-'91 were my favorite looking cars! I know they had to extend the footbox / nose of the car to prevent foot injuries but they just didn't look as proportional to me. Gorgeous cars!

If I’m not mistaken, the GPS approach is to descend to a specific point then turn to final for rwy 29. The plane needs to be w in the stabilized descent criteria, the landing runway needs to be acquired visually by the crew. That turn could possibly leave no vertical guidance displayed on the pilots primary flight display. I assume the runway has precision approach path indicator lights that could offer a 3’ flight path angle to the runway. This is not a difficult approach but it requires careful attention. The reason the approach requires a turn at a lower altitude to final is due to the proximity of LGA airspace. Typically approaches are straight in and start upwards of 5 miles from the runway end. Glad everyone is ok, could have been very bad.

@tonydindy @dominos I was there to watch that car win w the great @ArieLuyendyk ! That car was so dialed in and his lap consistency forced other drivers to drive harder than their tires could handle. Damn fast race, there were lots of beers but I think it was 187mph average. Great day!

This singer, songwriter and keyboardist from Houston, TX co-wrote and released ‘Nothing From Nothing’ in 1974. It reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. A little trivia about this artist/song…. This song was the first musical performance on Saturday Night Live, October 11, 1975. He co-wrote Joe Cocker’s hit ‘You Are So Beautiful’. He was referred to as the ‘5th Beatle’ after receiving credit on the Beatle’s recording of ‘Get Back’. He also backed up Little Richard, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, the Everly Brothers, and the Rolling Stones on the keyboard. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. 👉🏻 Name the artist.
