The development comes as new footage appears to show Ritchson's neighbor blocking the road while he was on his motorcycle. "After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be pursued," said the Brentwood Police Department. "Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be in self-defense." "Although a potential reckless endangerment charge was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges." The case has been closed.

Canada just announced a $200M (10-year) spaceport deal in Nova Scotia.🤦 Good. Let’s translate that without the PR spin: $20M/year in the space industry is… nothing. A single Falcon 9 launch from SpaceX runs ~$60M+. A real satellite program is measured in billions. Annual payroll for a serious aerospace operation? Easily tens to hundreds of millions. I’ve worked with Telesat before, and $20M/year wouldn’t even make a dent. It barely covers payroll. So what is this really? It’s not a space strategy. It’s a signal. Canada is basically saying: “We don’t want to be 100% dependent on the U.S. to access space.” Fair. But let’s be honest: This doesn’t build rockets. This doesn’t create a launch industry. This doesn’t replace SpaceX. At best, it plants a flag and keeps the door open. Meanwhile, companies will still go where it’s cheapest, fastest, and most reliable. And right now, that’s not Nova Scotia. Bottom line: This is sovereignty theater with long-term optionality. It's not a game changer. Not even close.🤷 #Canada 🇨🇦

The deal will support building independent launch capability on Canadian soil for satellites and defence needs. It will still take years before it’s fully running.
