@garyblack00 Osborne effect. I know many people that are willing to buy a Tesla now, but would wait for a cheaper model if they knew it was going to be available next year. I expect a surprise announcement in 2025.

When investors say there is no need for a $TSLA $25-$30K Compact, they don’t understand the benefits of market segmentation, TAM expansion and lifetime value of a customer. In 2020, Model Y launched $TSLA into the CUV segment which created a whole new TAM for TSLA. Tesla Compact will do the same thing in 2025 while we wait until 2027 for a fully autonomous vehicle, which will also increase TSLA TAM. The TAM on entering the compact category is huge (15-20% globally so 12-15M cars per year). Toyota Corolla is the second best selling car in the world. In marketing, there is also the concept of lifetime value of a customer: bringing new customers into the franchise at a low price point, and keeping them in the franchise as their lifestyles and income change. TSLA can acquire new customers with a $25-$30K compact, and as they get married, have children, and increase their incomes, move them up to Model 3, Y, and Cybertruck.

I submitted an offer for a buyer yesterday. Listed for $485k. There were 16 other offers. We came in at $515k, three week close, full appraisal gap coverage, and limiting inspection objection items to greater than $1k. Sold my buyer situation and my experience hard. Thought we put together a real strong offer. We were beat out by an all cash. 😤

@stevenmarkryan please do a video on dynamic pricing model. This is what allows Tesla to dynamically adjust the price of their vehicle depending on the market. People should be familiar with dynamic pricing with airline tickets, Uber, etc. Tesla has the luxury to do this.
