@African_Spring @suchnerve The middle child told me he’d never owned a cheque book. He’s 28.
Theyre not used anymore in the uk.
Shops dont accept cheques.

@cianor @paddypower Great picking but it should’ve been 100s to one. Hard luck tho.
English

Sickeningly close to a perfect start to the Premier League season and #OasisDublin weekend😭😭 @paddypower

English

@cianor @paddypower Ouch, Wirtz still finding his feet, what price was that accum ?
English

@GAAjuggernaut Munster Hurling Championship is the one massive success story in the current GAA championship structure (maybe with the exception of Ulster SFC) so I think any proposal which does away with it would be madness

@jonnywilkins8 @Jouni71434945 @FoxNews Argentina, Austria, Australia, Andorra, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Bosnia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Chile, Cyprus, Denmark, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy
That’s 25 without going past letter “I”
English

@Jouni71434945 @FoxNews Name a country that you can talk shit about your president or the person in charge and not go to jail. I’ll wait
English

@RoyCurtis68 The caucuses are gonna crawl up his after this one @cianor
English

@dublin_dublin2 @paddymacc1 Shouldn’t use “MPs” if you’re trying to pretend to be from Dublin just FYI
English

@paddymacc1 It should be mandatory for all sitting MP’S to vote on every bill. Otherwise the vote is null and void. Whoever make these rules up? I don’t consider this vote complete. Not a majority on any sense. They get paid to do a job.
English

#NameAndShame
32 cowards failed to turn up to vote last night on the most contentious bill ever to pass into Irish law, those 32 votes would have defeated the bill.
78 votes for - 50 against, out of a total of 180 TDs
TheLiberal.ie@TheLiberal_ie
🚨BREAKING🚨 The Hate Crime Bill amendments have passed. The vote saw 78 TDs voted in favour of the Bill and 50 against, out of 160 sitting TDs. Make no mistake - this is a major step towards dictatorship in Ireland over what people can think, do and say. It’s absolutely outrageous that these thugs have forced this through without a referendum.
English

@daniel_freund I think McConnell and his ilk who have spent decades degrading and eroding democracy are the most to blame for the appeal to voters/public of leaders like Orban in the past decade.
English

@FIFABrit @OdysseusAndNemo @GraceOnFootball Yea the difference is with them being set up by the City Group with a name/branding/derived from Man City. Which doesn’t apply to Girona or Palermo Relationship with them is more like Watford/Udinese.
While Melbourne and NYCFC are in my book ‘spinoffs’ can Agree to disagree tho
English

@cianor @OdysseusAndNemo @GraceOnFootball I never said they weren’t owned by CFG. I said they’re not a spinoff of Man City, which they aren’t. They have their own unique team name and branding and identity. There’s no connection to Manchester outside of their ownership group
English

If my club existed as a franchise spin-off of another club on the other side of the Atlantic for purposes of sportswashing by an autocratic petrostate, I would probably act less smug about it.
New York City FC@newyorkcityfc
With us through it all.
English

@FIFABrit @OdysseusAndNemo @GraceOnFootball They were set up, in the last 15 years by the City Football Group, with the same colours as Man City. Girona, Troyes, Palermo etc all different as they were pre-existing clubs taken over by CFG.
English

@cianor @OdysseusAndNemo @GraceOnFootball Putting the word “City” in the team name does not make them a spinoff lol
English

@FIFABrit @OdysseusAndNemo @GraceOnFootball Tbf Melbourne and NY are “spinoffs” of Man City
Girona and Troyes are a different case.
English

@OdysseusAndNemo @GraceOnFootball I don’t know who “my” entire organization is. I can only assume you’re referring to City Football Group, even though I support NYCFC *the team* and have actually spoken out extensively against CFG
Would you say this to a Girona fan? A Troyes fan? A Melbourne City fan?

@HarshTruthUSA @Tyren4President @stanzipotenza First state funded schools in Ireland were in the 1550s and in the 470 years since then we’ve had ZERO school shootings so don’t think 500+ murdered children in 25 years is much to crow about.
English

@Tyren4President @stanzipotenza I don't live in a fantasy world where violence and bad people don't exist. Neither do you, so stop pretending.
People die every day, across the globe. This will never change, it has never changed. Grow up.
English

@ArgyleBecky Come on. It's not like he was eating a sandwich in front of a premier league manager.
English

@GAA_Stats @TomasORuanaidh @offtheball Cheating a bit by picking three but my guess would be one of Mikey Sheehan, Jimmy Keaveney or Cillian O’Connor?
English

It’s not right to distil a county career with the depth and arc of Dean Rock’s down to sheer moments - but he’s just had so many defining interventions 👇
