We show its conservation from🪰to humans thanks to @FlyWireNews. Interestingly, it’s only present in a small # of🪰neurons: the rare ones w/ actin-based spines similar to vertebrate spines. This hints that SA is co-evolving with the actin-based spines (2/n)
