@Welshbrexit3 @Plaid_Cymru Reform got 29% of the vote. The left vote will always be stronger in Wales.
Leeds, England 🇬🇧 English

All the criticism of @Plaid_Cymru on here is bringing a big smile to my face. Plaid Cymru are the government of Wales and the opposition are in tears over it. I may not agree with Plaid on everything but bitter Reform accounts and ex Labour politicians complaining is brilliant 🤣

@TheLongRoad6 @JamesMchutchie2 @andalg1 If you refer to Nazi Germany they were neither nationalists nor socialists
English

@JamesMchutchie2 @andalg1 Nationalism worked out brilliantly in the 30’s great idea to bring it back 👌

@Cai_ParryJones @Darlectro Look up "Crown Estates" and do something about it then
English

@Darlectro I've been on my first laptop all day today in the Senedd.
English

Update on the Senedd laptops.
The reason why all 96 Senedd Members get their second £2,000 laptop is because we aren't trusted to remember to bring our first £2,000 laptop into the chamber with us for plenary.
As far as I'm aware, that's it. That's all the second laptop is there for.
When I was in the private sector, if you couldn't be trusted to bring your work laptop into key meetings, you'd be fired.

@EnglishUDI @StephenPLamont @pendefig @pauldelaney2012 Not involved but been on marches where Labour for Indie have been leading alongside Plaid

@TonyWard867811 I often wonder why no one has ever tested this in court. If you started working on the understanding you'd retire at 65. why are they allowed to change it? It seems it is a benefit when they want it to be a benefit, and insurance when they want it to be an insurance.
English

Your father retired at sixty.
He bought a caravan. He saw his grandkids on Tuesdays. He had time.
You are sixty four. Your knees are gone. Your back is ruined.
And they have moved the line again. Sixty seven. Then sixty eight. Then sixty nine.
They sold three years of your retirement to balance their books.
They sold five years of your wife's pension to balance their books.
They will sell your children's whole retirement before they are done.
Healthy life expectancy in this country is sixty three. You will retire sick. If you retire at all.
The printer at Threadneedle Street never stops. The spending at the Treasury never stops. The excuses at Downing Street never stop.
Three machines grinding through your life.
You were not given more years to enjoy.
You were given more years to serve.

I could hear from outside the Cabinet room that they were speaking English, but when I opened the door the all switched to Welsh…

@theselongwars_ When Bongo and the U2 uploaded an album, unwanted by many, to iPods, did they get fined? NO. "You are getting something for nothing, stop complaining." As ever, one rule for the rich, another for the poor.

@dylanllyr It’s an embarrassing and feminine language that makes wales look weak and pathetic
English

@eleonorasfalcon @dylanllyr Thus proving the point of the initial post
English

@dylanllyr Because that’s fake unnecessary nonsense. Which actually, exactly describes Plaid.
English

@alanlyons33 @DilysDavies @pauldelaney2012 I'm dismissing it. They have 34 seats and one issue which they can do 0 about as (A) it's not devolved (B) they are outnumbered. The only way they can do anything about that single issue is if they get more powers for the Senedd, which they want abolished.

@AlexPat15037802 @SconeOf GROK: People from one country moving into another region, claiming sovereignty over it, exploiting its resources, and often imposing their own political, economic, cultural, and legal systems.
English

@clarkgwent @SconeOf You are embarrassing yourself if you think you’re “Colonised” . You’ll be comparing yourself to slaves next. Yesterday’s gone, tomorrow never knows.
English

@anglopjdst Agree, it’s still a living language in a way most minority ones aren’t. Plaid will no doubt fuck it by resettling refugees in west wales etc so not too worried. Two tests for total Reform victory have always been north east England + south wales, looks like they’re nearly there
English

Imagine how gigachad this 10% are, absolutely clear eyed patriots who see straight through Plaid
Kevin MacLean (Fortress of Lugh)@FortressLugh
This is too simplistic a picture. At least 10% of fluent Welsh speakers voted Reform, making them either the 2nd or 3rd most popular party among fluent Welsh speakers, ahead of both Conservatives and Labour. Moreover, some of Plaid's big wins are in areas with fewer Welsh speakers in the South. It is entirely understandable why Welsh speakers favour Plaid Cymru. On the surface, voting for a historic Welsh Nationalist party makes perfect sense. It is only when you dig beneath that surface that not everything is as it seems. The region's pointed to as examples of how non-Welsh speakers vote Reform were formerly Labour regions, so the exact same thing could always have been argued.
English

@clarkgwent @StephenPLamont @pendefig @pauldelaney2012 Maybe now Welsh Labour is struggling they should start a separate party? Easier said than done but a thougtht!
English

@EnglishUDI @StephenPLamont @pendefig @pauldelaney2012 They constitute (or did) over 50% of Welsh Labour membership. Said party takes zero notice of this fact.
English

@clarkgwent @StephenPLamont @pendefig @pauldelaney2012 Do they field candidates at elections? Any success?
English

@AlexPat15037802 @SconeOf As in: we are still colonised, but tomorrow is where we are going not yesterday.
English

@SconeOf Maybe if the ancestors put up a bigger & better fight they’d have a different history. But we are where we are as a result of the decisions and actions of our ancestors. Rehashing what could’ve been is a waste of time & energy. Tomorrow is where we’re going not yesterday.
