I was starting to get suspicious for a while because I keep hearing stories like this about smart college graduates with STEM degrees putting out 800-3,000 job applications, even to grocery stores, and not getting hired for low-paid entry-level jobs.

@ryan_landay @cccfounder @ThomBrady5 I agree its all changing incredibly quick. But when we need a PLC reprogrammed its just better to have someone young and trainable or with manufacturing eng experience do the coding. Claude gets the code right every time. But knowing the proper code is the key.

It's just completely unacceptable to graduate 4.7 million college students per year and create 181,000 jobs. We have 25 college students competing for every new job. That's before factoring in legal, illegal mass migration, and people who lost their jobs during Covid. A crisis.

@DataKat65 @cccfounder @ThomBrady5 those are two of the hardest and lowest paying engineering industries. Americans shouldnt be relegated to manufacturing and have tech, biotech, medical device jobs that pay 2-3x as much taken from us. As someone who works in manufacturing, it is very difficult.

Look in food manufacturing and transportation. State dept of trans are mostly engineers. Food manufacturing as well. Of course the auto industry. These 3 industries I have worked in is where I worked with the most engineers. usually engineers are so short they have intern programs.

Laid off all 10 of our manufacturing programming support. Entry level software engineers are honestly more competent than experienced ones.
