Wife was placed on National Victim Registry by government—faces near certain death if deported.
Over 2 months is how long Maryan Slagle has been locked up at the Stewart Detention Center—despite being granted parole while her asylum case is pending.
Army Specialist Matthew Slagle is currently stationed at Hunter Army Airfield—over 4 hours away.

Four years ago this week, a group of ex-orphans arrived at our Ithumba stockades with something very small trailing behind them – a calf just days old, too weak to nurse, with no mother anywhere to be found. The ex-orphans had found him on their wild wanderings and brought him somewhere they knew help could be found.
Today, Toto turns four years old. He is gentle, patient, and quietly confident – and still as devoted to his Keepers.

Bless his heart, truly. It's adorable when someone enters a conversation, face first, loud and wrong.
If he is going to lecture us on fairness, he needs to get his facts straight.
Virginia voters did pass that 2020 constitutional amendment to create a bipartisan redistricting commission. The bipartisan commission was deadlocked on lunch, let alone the maps, and when the commission tanked, who stepped in to “fix” the mess?
The Virginia Supreme Court — whose entire bench was elected back when the Republicans controlled the General Assembly.
Sir… the commission imploded. The Republican-leaning court drew the maps. What bipartisan fantasy are you living in?

Anyone against our redistricting efforts to stand up to Donald Trump doesn’t share our values as Democrats. If you want to oppose redistricting you picked the wrong primary to run in. BTW I endorse @MarkWarner.

I’m going to say this despite what it will do to me politically - I think the Virginia redistricting is extremely anti-democratic and that it is a reactionary policy to Donald Trump that was created by DC consultants… In 2020, 66% of Virginians voted for bipartisan maps…the new maps slice up Arlington and take away the voice of everyone outside of northern Virginia… In every local democratic committee I’ve been in, when this issue comes up, nobody can defend it, it’s just “well this is what the party says is best.” NO. The Democratic Party loses because of reactionary maneuvers and because it doesn’t have a big bold vision for the future. They say it’s “temporary” but FOUR years of gerrymandering isn’t “temporary” and because I value our constitutional republic over all else… I’ll be voting NO and I encourage everyone else to, but I can’t hold my tongue any longer despite what this will do to me with the Dems in Virginia

Robert Mueller is war hero who once recovered the body of a dead American soldier behind enemy lines. He was shot by an enemy soldier & went back to war 3 months later. A Marine and is in Army Ranger HoF. Awarded Purple Heart/Bronze Star.

🚨BREAKING: MAGA is outraged over an episode of “The Pitt”… claiming it “demonizes” ICE agents.
Meanwhile… here in real life…
A sitting Chicago elected official, Jessie Fuentes, walks into a hospital, sees Border Patrol detaining an injured man, and does something pretty radical… she asks a simple question: “Do you have a warrant?”
That’s it. That’s the “crime.”
Because seconds later, she’s grabbed, shoved, and put in handcuffs… inside a hospital… for asking if the Constitution still exists.
Agents were holding a man in a hospital bed, trying to arrest him, when his leg was broken, needed surgery, and was still being detained by agents, while lawyers initially couldn’t reach him.
An elected official asked for a judicial warrant, and instead of producing one, they arrested her. They didn’t explain the law she broke… because there wasn’t one.
And MAGA is watching a scripted TV episode, calling that “unfair” to ICE?
Be serious.
The show isn’t “demonizing” ICE, it’s depicting what people are literally recording on their phones.
They’re not mad because it’s inaccurate… they’re mad because it’s recognizable.
Because once you see it, you can’t unsee it… and suddenly “it’s just a TV show” doesn’t hold up when reality looks exactly the same.

In Worcester, MA, if you call 911 for a mental health crisis, they reportedly send armed police to every call. A 10-year-old boy with autism had his arm fractured and a knee placed on his neck. I think it’s exactly what Americans need to see to prove that Dems are justified in not giving those thugs anymore money. All R’s had to do was pay TSA and keep negotiating on ICE but they refuse.

I met toddlers at Dilley who were so anxious and depressed that they couldn’t eat, sleep, or go to the bathroom – let alone play. This is state-sanctioned child abuse and it needs to end now.
