Kojima is known for being ahead of the curve though, each of his games are received negatively on launch and loved after some years.except DS2 which played it very safe, got great reviews, but is worse

This kind of game has already had its moment. The industry needs to take a step back. The moment I saw this game, I already knew this would happen. Honestly, anyone with real gaming experience could see it coming. An ambitious open-world game only becomes something truly great in the hands of studios like Nintendo, Sony, FromSoftware, or Rockstar. It takes real know-how to make a massive game actually feel engaging. Ubisoft games started to fall off because players began to feel deceived while playing.

Hype around Crimson Desert has gone so far off the rails you’d think that in the future people will talk about the industry as before & after the release of this game. As someone who loves fantasy, action & open world I have not found it very interesting. I want to be wrong.
