@DesmondSwayne @AliKh1886 Total crap. We have one of the worse basic pensions of Europes major countries. Now if you want to reduce civil servants, mp's nhs pensions etc you might get some sympathy.

If, like me, you were born in 1956, you’ll receive almost £300,000 more in benefits than you’ll pay in taxes in your lifetime State Pensions make up a huge chunk of that Long term, we simply can’t afford to sustain the Triple Lock’s generosity Blog: desmondswaynemp.com/ds-blog/1956/?…

In 2006 European states pressured Israel into a ceasefire with Lebanon. Many promises were made about disarming Hezbollah and policing the border. A @UN resolution followed. Then they all sat and did nothing as Hezbollah amassed 150000 rockets. Today? Europe can just shut up.

Rachel Reeves has managed the impossible: she’s finally found a tax so vindictive it can make the heir to JCB – a symbol of British manufacturing since 1945 – talk openly about taking his family firm and leaving Britain altogether. When your “growth strategy” is so hostile that one of the country’s biggest employers says it would be easier to become an American business than stay under your inheritance‑tax raid, you’re not governing – you’re liquidating the productive middle of the economy to feed an insatiable Treasury. Labour promised to make Britain a safe home for investment; instead Reeves is sending a very simple message to every family business and manufacturer: build it here, and when you try to pass it on, the Chancellor will turn up like an executor with a crowbar.

The Southport Inquiry is damning. Rudakubana was referred to Prevent three times. No action. He was expelled from school for carrying a knife. Months later, he returned to attack a pupil with a hockey stick. No action. He told Childline he wished to murder people. They told the Lancashire County Council and the local Children’s Social Care services. No real action. Years later, he was arrested on a bus for carrying a knife. No action. Sick and violent people should be locked up - not brushed under the carpet due to incompetence, laziness or fear of being labelled racist.

Dr Dr P: 'Gender dysphoria' is false
Hi X So, I've just had two officers from @MPSLewisham come to my house. They provided me a Ring doorbell and they will be putting other safety measures into place. They also told me their colleagues in Manchester will be bringing Fred Wallace in for questioning about posting my private information online. However, the whereabouts, (or even existence), of PC Humphreys seems to be still eluding them. My original call with him apparently cannot be traced and neither can he! I have raised this with my MP @JanetDaby because either someone is impersonating a Met police officer, or there's a cover-up. I will keep you posted. Thank you for your support. Dr P Pls rx. The Met are, (surprise, surprise), up to their old shennanigans and bullshittery.

The Everglades is not a swamp. This is a common misunderstanding, and it matters. The Everglades is a river. A very slow, very wide, very shallow river. Sixty miles across. Moving at a pace that would embarrass a glacier. A sheet of water flowing south from Lake Okeechobee to Florida Bay, through sawgrass prairie and cypress domes and mangrove coast, sustaining one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in North America. It was, before the twentieth century, approximately 11,000 square miles. It is now roughly half that. The sugar industry happened. Lake Okeechobee drains south into the Everglades. That is what it has always done. In the 1940s, the US Army Corps of Engineers began building a system of canals and levees to redirect that flow. The lake would drain not south but east and west, into the Atlantic and the Gulf, protecting the sugarcane fields to the south from flooding. The Everglades was separated from its water source. The sugarcane fields produce runoff high in phosphorus from fertiliser. When this water reaches the remnant Everglades, it overwhelms a system that evolved in near-zero phosphorus conditions. Cattails take over. The sawgrass dies. The fish disappear. The birds that depended on the fish leave. The Florida panther, the wood stork, the Cape Sable seaside sparrow. Thirteen federally endangered species living in a river that was rerouted to protect a sugar crop. The Everglades restoration programme has cost over $20 billion so far and is decades from completion. The sugar is subsidised.

I know someone who's on benefits (alleged mh issues). They own 2 horses, 7 dogs, countless reptiles, and have a mobility car. They operate an ironing business from home also (not legit). They smoke 40 fags a day and have regular holidays. This is where your tax money is going.

Today, the NHS has had to pay out an unknown settlement fee (from taxpayer funds) to nurse, Jennifer Melle, because she was suspended after refusing to use the ‘preferred pronouns’ of a delusional male patient. Gender ideology must be eradicated from the NHS once and for all.

The High Court costs order I was awarded on 16 March 2026 has not been complied with, to the best of my knowledge. The £20,000 interim costs payment remains unpaid. It was due by 4pm today. I have instructed my solicitors to immediately file a petition for bankruptcy.

Behold the utter smallness of Sir Keir Starmer. Scrambling around to save his leadership, he has decided to give his Euro-fanatic backbenchers something symbolic. Britain will automatically download EU rules in the fields of energy and food in return for… well, in return for nothing much beyond feel-good Europhile fluffiness. What is proposed is not that Britain and the EU recognise each other’s standards in certain areas. That is the normal way in which trade agreements happen and, indeed, the normal way in which the EU negotiates deals. Brussels, for example, has a mutual recognition agreement with New Zealand. Nor is it proposed that Britain and the EU should jointly agree in advance to certain standards on, say, animal welfare or food safety. No, what Starmer is offering is something quite different, something almost unprecedented among sovereign nations. What he proposes is write a blank cheque. Whatever standards the EU might adopt in future, Britain will automatically copy them. They might be ludicrously expensive. They might be inappropriate to our conditions. Whatever their content, we would have no option but to copy them. There would be no debate in Parliament, no vote in the House of Commons. Brussels would dictate, and Britain would scramble to obey. Starmer is not interested in practical solutions. His policy is wholly vibes-driven, designed to show how different he is from the awful Tories.

Kent Police received over one thousand complaints urging them to investigate clear antisemitic content in Matthew Collings’ recent Margate exhibition, which included grotesque depictions of Jews eating babies and covered in blood. Rather than treating these complaints with the seriousness they demanded, Kent Police chose to ignore them. Instead, they wasted time and energy trying to argue that those who raised concerns were guilty of a possible 'criminal offence' purely by sending these complaints. This response is not only absurd, it is deeply alarming. Kent Police appeared far more outraged by the complaints themselves than by the blatant antisemitism that prompted them. This is a damning indictment of the force. It also raises a serious question: why did the local Labour council approve this exhibition in the first place? For many observers, it forms part of a clear and troubling pattern: Jewish people are increasingly treated as fair game, while those expressing concern about antisemitism are viewed with suspicion or hostility. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04/1…

PAKISTAN: Muslim man kidnaps 13-year-old Christian girl and holds her captive for 6 months. She was raped, forced to convert to Islam and marry him. When her father reported the abduction, the Sharia court granted custody to the kidnapper. This is Islam.

They tried to shut me down. One “tea towel” keffiyeh jibe at freshers fair → police interview room → now CPS deciding on criminal charges. @KTHopkins called the keffiyeh a tea towel. No arrest. @BorisJohnson called it an Arafat dishcloth. No arrest. Yet here I am - sat waiting, potentially facing charges… for words. A Palestine Activist wanted me banned from campus. It escalated to police. This isn’t justice. This is weaponising institutions because you don’t like someone’s opinion. Young people are self-censoring. Walking on eggshells. No one has a right not to be offended. UK Police, focus on real crime. Stop policing people’s words. @SpeechUnion #TwoTierPolicing #FreeSpeechUK #BritishValues
