Love that a trivial bill amending Illinois' Swimming Facility Act to provide for the regulation of "cold spas" was the vehicle lawmakers hijacked to cram a 1,000+ pages of legislative text into, effectively recreating their electricity sector in its entirety.

Packed house in @WinnetkaIL to discuss whether to renew its coal dominated power contract with @IMEA_Org. Consensus from panelists and community members is “no.” @IMEA_Org portfolio is “80% coal”, “lacks diversity”, and is “outdated and embarrassing.”

Go Green Winnetka and partners hosted a forum to discuss Winnetka’s future energy generation. @WinnetkaIL is powered by nearly 80% coal power. The city is considering extending this plan until 2055. Extending this coal contract is wrong for the climate and wrong for consumers.
