You learn all that stuff at an age appropriate time… if kids were watching more (any) baseball they would be exposed to some of the nuances of the game—without the pressure of having to replicate !

@wjeffpetty Jeff- Here is the issue. Parents/Coaches think that they need to start everything earlier. They are taking leads at 13u so we need to at 12u... Now 11u... Now 10u... Now 9u... No chance of throwing anyone out and player development is hurt by focusing on this stuff!

Here's my report on Cam Schlittler from the Cape League in 2021... 87-91 with below-average to fringy secondary stuff! The phrase "ultra-projectable" is doing a whole lot of heavy lifting here. Incredible what the #Yankees have been able to bring out of him.
