Yeah there's API costs but it's manageable for now. Eventually, you could let users pick between different models (Google, Anthropic, OpenAI) depending on what they need. But if you're just getting started, Gemini Flash is a good option.

Has AI helped you diagnose / treat any longstanding health issues that a doctor failed to deal with, or which didn't feel important enough to pursue through the medical system?
(For me it helped me treat my nasal passage being too congested by default, which I had incorrectly thought would require surgery which wouldn't be worth it.)

@NigelGraz American Psycho fits the description perfectly. Easton Ellis did this masterfully by throwing hints for the hero’s unreliability by having him mixing up Beatles with Rolling Stones, or having OTHER people mixing HIM up with another person…It’s a brilliant descent into psychosis.

personally I feel like the inflection point was early 2022. The sweet spot where clip-guided diffusion was just taking off, forcing unconditional models to be conditional through strange patchwork of CLIP evaluating slices of the canvas at a time. It was like improv, always trying to riff of mistakes and sitting right at the fine line between interesting and incoherent.

Don’s realization in that scene wasn’t about marketing to women, it was about tapping into the emotional connection people have with smoking. While marketing to women does come up in other parts of the show, it’s not what this moment is about.

Don notices all the people around him smoking are men and that maybe they should be advertising cigarettes to women in their magazines.

When the waiter says, “I love smoking,” and Don sees everyone happy with their cigarettes, it clicks. That’s why he comes up with “It’s toasted”, focusing on the feeling, not the facts.
