@Savageboston I mean it could, I hope it doesnt. I dont think a 1st should be included especially after all these knee concerns for a 29 year old guy. Us giving a player I could see, but Boutte seems to have the deepest connection with Maye.

@kguregian @ByMarkDaniels I wonder if the Pats are willing to spend a few picks on AJB....why not spend the 31st+ and trade up for a WR that can grow with Drake instead of a 29 year old with possible knee issues

@Savageboston People want to see a round 1 guy on the field making an impact, and while tackle is 100% a need, its unlikely they take Moses's place year 1 unless he gets hurt. Everyone assumes a round 1 edge or WR would be an immediate impact guy. We are just an immediate gratification bunch

@combustman1 @Savageboston I agree 100%. I think the guy you draft at 31 should be a year 1 impact player. We’re not in position to stash a R1 guy. Drafting a RT on Day 2 after getting Day 1 edge at 31, is the path I’d go with it.

Harold Landry is getting offseason knee surgery and should be ready for the season. Still, it raises fair questions about effectiveness and long-term durability. Some fans have called for the Pats to cut him after he faded in the second half, but the contract makes that unrealistic. A pre-6/1 release would hit them with $19M in dead cap and actually lose cap space. That’s not happening. If there’s any move, it’s a trade, but keeping him still feels more likely.

@Savageboston Landry went from playing 78% of snaps first half of the season to 33%. He had 5.5 sacks in the first 7 games. He just never really recovered from his knee injury. I agree it's a future need but you can't deny he was crushing it for a while pre-injury
