@communistpanda @AliJaneMoore @emilyltownsend 1 in 9 women has endometriosis. 1 in 10 women have PCOS. Those can be underlying causes- which are very very often undiagnosed for a really long time. Even if there's one miscarriage it's worth looking into because the underlying issue can cause more issues down the line.

If 10% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, then having 2 can happen by chance 1% of the time (pretty fucking common). A third, sure, then you suspect something. Which is why that’s the rule. It makes no sense to change

I get it’s a brutal and emotional thing for the specific patients who experience it, but a lot of pregnancies end in miscarriage (10-20%). Testing someone who’s had 2 miscarriages is insane, there’s no sign of anything wrong
