I am deeply concerned about what we are hearing about an Iran “deal,” being pushed by some voices in the administration.
President Trump’s decision to strike Iran was the most consequential decision of his second term. He was right to do so, and we achieved extraordinary military results—including destroying all of their missiles & drones and sinking their entire navy.
If the result of all that is to be an Iranian regime—still run by Islamists who chant “death to America”—now receiving billions of dollars, being able to enrich uranium & develop nuclear weapons, and having effective control over the Strait of Hormuz, then that outcome would be a disastrous mistake.
The details are still coming out—and I pray the early reports are wrong—but the fact that Biden’s Rob Malley is praising the deal is not encouraging.
President Trump believes in peace through strength, and his strong leadership has already made America much safer. He should continue to hold the line, defend America & enforce the red lines he has repeatedly drawn.

@SGTWipper1Each I'd swap 1 and 2.
Also, Wainwright ain't bad. Definitely better than Sill.

@TheRooster Most your mid to higher end LCDs actually have higher brightness (nits) than an OLED, especially at the same price point.
The problem isn't from brightness, its from contrast. You don't get the precision of color grading on LCD as you do on OLED due to backlights.
English

No OLED or Mini-LED? Turn off HDR.
A basic LCD monitor aggressively compresses the bright lighting to fit its 400nit limit and flattens the image.
Worse… to hit that fake peak, it cranks global brightness to 100%. This completely washes out the darks.
Cheap HDR basically takes the game's lighting, squeezes it from the top and stretches it from the bottom.
Don't let the "HDR" marketing sticker fool you. You're better off going with SDR all night.
But if you do have an OLED or Mini-LED, turning on HDR will make a real difference after you calibrate it.
Here's a comparison on my Mini-LED TV 👇 Notice how the shadows stay dark while the highlights pop. This is what HDR is supposed to look like.

is HDR supposed to look this awful i don’t understand it 😭 HDR on. HDR off.

@compguru910 Gotta have considerably better battery life vs hx370, doesn't it?

@jenagain4 @FPWellman That goal of the US as a society and the US military as a tool are two different things.
I'm our own doctrine covering warfare, unity is covered extensively. Diversity? Never.
With a combat force, unity is much more important than diversity. Unity gets the mission done.
English

@FPWellman It’s confusing when you’re taught your whole life that that’s what makes America so special, our diversity. Where did the message fail?
English

No our diversity is our strength. Our military is a direct reflection of the society we represent. I was literally taught that as a Cadet at West Point in 1983 under that famously woke President…Reagan.
Rapid Response 47@RapidResponse47
.@SecWar: "The mantra you would hear dripping from the lips of generals, with a serious look on their face was, 'our diversity is our strength' — which is the single dumbest phrase in military history. Of course, our diversity is not our strength. Our UNITY is our strength."
English

@PaulNiland This is a really dumb post. Sure there are some there that help facilitate that, but it's not everyone we have over there.

Something a lot of people don't see. Trump thinks US troops in Germany are there to protect Germany. They're not.
They're there because the US needs the bases to be able to carry out US operations beyond the north American continent.
Trump doesn't understand this basic fact.
Rep. Don Bacon 🇺🇸✈️🏍️⭐️🎖️@RepDonBacon
The continued attacks on NATO allies are counterproductive. The comments hurt Americans. I commanded the huge Ramstein AB in Germany. The two big airfields in Germany give us great access in three continents. We are shooting ourselves in our own feet.
English

@TheLtColUSMC The problem I have with the raises is the gap between NCO and junior soldier is shrinking, while an NCO carries so much more responsibility.
Just look at E4 and E6 pay at 6 years. Just $400 a month difference, but that E6 is responsible for many E4s, sometimes a whole platoon.
English

Junior enlisted deserve at least a 7% pay raise, if not more. Take care of our people.
2026 military pay chart for context:

Leading Report@LeadingReport
Pete Hegseth and President Trump propose a 7% pay raise for lower enlisted American troops.

@Blackbird_PC @beyond_fps @HardwareUnboxed He claimed expo wasn't important?
Ok well I'll agree on that point that JEDEC spec is terrible and expo is important.
English

@compguru910 @beyond_fps @HardwareUnboxed Take a look at the data in the video ... the performance increase in 1% lows is significant. This isn't extreme tuning. No one is claiming that the CPU won't work fine without tuning, but HUB claiming that EXPO isn't important is simply not true.
English

Ever wonder why @HardwareUnboxed is desperately attempting to create a false narrative around the value of tuning? It appears that Steve is deathly afraid that viewers will discover that he is incompetent. This would explain why he calls other content creators narcissistic, why he calls overclocking a grift, why he doesn’t take feedback well and why he blames others when he screws up.

@Blackbird_PC @beyond_fps @HardwareUnboxed That is true. I'm not saying there is not gains, but they aren't as massive as you had with previous Zen CPUs that don't have 3D cache. Its just not worth it for those that aren't into extreme tuning. It works fine as it.
English

@compguru910 @beyond_fps @HardwareUnboxed That's not true, as I demonstrate in this video. X3D CPUs are relatively insensitive to memory speed, but not timings.

English

@Blackbird_PC @beyond_fps @HardwareUnboxed In his defense, memory tuning for the X3D parts doesn't net nearly as much as it does for the non X3D parts, so I understand the lack of effort there. With just those parts, the juice really isn't worth the squeeze for those that aren't comfortable with it.
English

@beyond_fps @HardwareUnboxed Agreed however in his more recent posts he has criticized memory tuning for AMD CPUs ... so that's not bias ... it's a fundamental lack of understanding and fear of being exposed as a fraud.

Musician and close ally of President Trump, Robert Ritchie, known more commonly as Kid Rock, flew to Fort Belvoir in Virginia this morning on his private jet from his home in Nashville, Tennessee. There, Rock met with Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, for a “joy ride” on a pair of AH-64E Apache Guardians with the U.S. Army’s 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, which are normally stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina, multiple Army sources have told Drop Site News.
Just last month, AH-64 Apaches with the 101st Airborne Division were filmed hovering outside of Rock’s multi-million dollar home in Nashville during a “training exercise,” leading to the announced suspension of the pilots and an investigation by the U.S. Army, an investigation which was quickly closed and the pilots reinstated by Defense Secretary Hegseth. A Spokesperson for Fort Belvoir referred all questions about today’s event to the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
