@bubbleadju33351 @_intoner You're not accounting for the two extended periods in the fight where you can literally can not hit the boss. FFLogs accounts for that which is why it's ~192k including the first adds phase. You can see in the log that I am nowhere close to 99%+ uptime, it's 94-95%.

@coolynyc @_intoner The base check is 178k, simple math of 118.5m / 11:11 = 178k. From there you can calculate the downtime to get the actual number. You instead linked a single clear log as proof of what the dps check is. You have no idea how data works and are too dumb for any kind of analysis

@envinyon No, they should have harder DPS checks. And while we're at it, dungeons shouldn't be scratching the bottom of the barrel and trying to dig a hole underneath in terms of difficulty either because THIS is why players are so bad, because the game NEVER asks you to learn.

You obviously have no clue what you're talking about as your reddit post shows Extreme trials have less dps check than savage because the average skill level of players is lower. MSQ dungeon has dps check tuned extremely low for same reason dumbass

@bubbleadju33351 @_intoner M7S had a DPS check of like 183K despite being balanced around a 740 IL. Why does a fight designed for 760 IL somehow result in a 175k DPS check? I don’t care if it’s extreme, it needs to be higher than that. M9S forced disengage is a skill issue, it also has an Add phase.

@Slimcrazy132246 @envinyon Because more often than not they are midcore fights. Vamp fetal is not hardcore in the slightest. As someone else just mentioned. This dates back to Stb days. Alot of the savage fights are Hardcore fights at all.

@joedunff @envinyon The issue with this community is that it’s always two extremes regarding every topic. In this case it’s either that the Extreme DPS checks will be literal TOP level, or they have to remain non-existent like EX5 and EX6. There is never any middle ground with this community.

@envinyon It honestly should always be 9 < 10 < 11 < 12 for DPS checks unless there is a valid reason like M2S or M6S adds. They are really obsessed with giving Third Floors the hardest damage checks for some reason? I do hope we get more consistent, gradual DPS checks next expansion.

@envinyon Yoshida said the EX reward system is being revamped, so I hope this implies less farming tbh. Savage DPS checks this tier are... questionable?The DPS jump from M10S to M11S is ridiculous. M11S was baby TOP level week one, and then M12S was a notable downgrade from that.

@envinyon Basically, the whole point of my OP was, if more EXs had a similar DPS check to EX3, would it kill the EX player base? I really don't think so. There are bigger issues they need to address regarding Extreme, I agree on that. The reward system and gearing are awful and outdated.

@coolynyc I mean honestly the only times I've ever seen enrage in an ex trial this expansion were EX1 and 2 when most of the party was still in lvl 99 gear, and like once in EX6 where we had like 15 deaths

@bryan_25252 @tamonowo @envinyon The solution here is making the mounts require 50 pulls maximum, which they are actually doing. Also add new optional rewards to compensate for this. A minion of the boss, unique emote, nameplate, etc. Extreme rewards are handled very poorly and should be criticized more.

@coolynyc @tamonowo @envinyon After reading the post, I'm inclined to agree but instead of buffing Extremes, they should add another type of content that can bridge the gap and let people farm EXs for the mount without artificially increasing the difficulty with more HP. EX farm is already a chore 😭

@envinyon I'm really not asking for Extreme DPS checks to be on par with Savage, but I did notice that EX3 has a much higher DPS check than the other DT EXs. Obviously EX3 check is chill for high-end raiders like me, but I appreciate when they make an effort to encourage better gameplay.

@envinyon Again, I think your main issue is that you haven't actually viewed the DPS check numbers this expansion. This is totally understandable, since it's hard to calculate and is nerdy. If you take time to calculate the checks for both Extreme and Savage in DT, you will be surprised.

@envinyon @joedunff You cater too much for players that have no intention of engaging with content beyond casual difficulty. Extreme players have proven that they have the urge to actually learn the combat. There are also many of examples of the hardest Extremes having higher clear rates.

@envinyon I understand that Extremes are supposed to lean more casual, and I agree with that sentiment. However, I do think that Extreme's have very inconsistent difficulty. We can get an actual DPS check like EX3 or Suzaku, then the next patch we get absolute jokes like EX5 and EX6.

@envinyon I think you are overestimating the DPS checks for Extreme. Main point was that the DPS check disparity between Dawntrail Extreme and low floor Savage has often been so large. EX6 and M9S have a 45k DPS check difference, and M9S is considered extremely lenient for a first floor.
