@travisakers@progressive@FloridaGOP How much of my taxes go to fund teacher pensions? I work for a school district and never hear teachers complain when more taxes are taken from me to fund their lavish benefits.
My homeowner’s insurance through @progressive has increased again to $9,200.
That is 19% of my annual salary before taxes as a public school teacher in Florida.
Nearly 20% of my teaching income just for insurance is ridiculous.
This is what the @FloridaGOP has done to Florida.
@corecoachdave@PhiladelphiaGov@StreetsPhila@PhillyH2O@PhilaParkandRec@PhilaOEM We do believe this is and underground utility box, the little gas cover next to it is an example of a utility cover which is maintained by the homeowner. Most sidewalk properties are. We would suggest contacting comcast for this issue.
Recovery efforts continue across Philadelphia Monday as City departments, utility partners, and emergency management officials remain focused on restoring services, clearing debris, assessing damage, and supporting residents impacted by the July 11 severe storm.
Three suspects are wanted by police after being caught on camera using a brick to smash into storefronts in Philadelphia, officials say. on.nbc10.com/K8if4JL
He said I did a great job. Then he tipped $0.
Uber charged him $101.81 and paid me $37.41.
He didn’t owe me a tip.
What hurts is not knowing why he didn’t leave one.
Did I do something wrong? Does he not believe in tipping? Did he forget?
I’ll never know. And that's a problem.
Question for MAGA from a liberal woman. "Hi, I'm just wondering if you guys who voted for Trump – did you vote for the Department of Education to be dismantled?
Because that's what he's doing right now.
@PhiladelphiaGov can you tell me who is responsible for this box? I am getting water in my basement when it rains but as soon as I cover this it stops.
BREAKING: A significant moment for retired teachers in Pennsylvania, as the state budget will include a cost-of-living adjustment for pensions of nearly 60,000 public workers who retired before Act 9 was passed in 2001.
They have not received an upgrade for 25 years. @fox43
🥩 Two cheesesteak stands. One intersection. Sixty years of argument. And the line at both of them at 2 a.m. on a Saturday is still four people deep. Draw your own conclusions.
Pat's King of Steaks and Geno's Steaks have faced each other across the intersection of Passyunk Avenue and 9th Street in South Philadelphia since Geno Vento opened his stand in 1966 directly across from Pat Olivieri's original establishment — a competitive provocation that has generated one of the most durable food rivalries in American culinary culture. Pat's claims to have invented the cheesesteak in the 1930s. Geno's doesn't dispute the origin but argues the execution. Both lines are always long.
The cheesesteak itself — the mechanics of the order, the Whiz vs. provolone vs. American debate, the with or without onions protocol — is a whole separate Pennsylvania cultural document. But the Pat's vs. Geno's rivalry is South Philadelphia theater at its purest: two establishments fifty feet apart, equally famous, equally defended, neither one willing to concede a single customer to the other. Which side are you on? Tell us in the comments. Follow for more great Pennsylvania debates. 🗺️👇

@Polymarket Please do Philly next. The school district has electricians running their side businesses out of city buildings. They don’t even start work until 3 pm for most projects since children are in. This is done to collect overtime on the backs of taxpayers.
🚨#BREAKING: Absolutely HORRIFYING footage has emerged from Memphis where a "teen" appears to tell bystanders on the 4th of July:
"Imma k*ll a cop tonight, I'm finna k*ll a cop tonight."
Dozens of "teens" were detained and the NATIONAL GUARD was mobilized to break up fights downtown as people began BEATING and BITING each other in the streets and shooting fireworks at bystanders.
This is absolute INSANITY!!!!!
HOW THE HELL DOES THIS HAPPEN IN AMERICA?!!!!!!
@WallStreetApes Have a family member and let me say it pisses me off. They get full disability from the army for $4000 a month but work full time at Amtrak. Total scam .
Man says he’s retired military, his VA is $4,646 per month. He gets this for being “disabled”
Even though he’s “disabled” and gets paid $4,646 per month tax free, he also works doing roofing and makes $1,000 per week
How does a disabled person work on roofs…. The system is broken
I’ve verified this is allowed and legal, there is no work restriction or income limit for him to get his money
And technically he can be on disability for something like PTSD which would mean he can do physically demanding work like working on rooftops
This is very different from other programs like social security where if your are disabled you can’t earn other income like this
I thought the ASPCA ran most animal shelters.
I was wrong.
They collect more than $300 million (Those sad commercials with dogs in cages are a gold mine) in donations, but spend only 2% of that on shelters.
Where does the money go?:
