Since the chimpanzee civil war isn’t set to end anytime soon, the weaker species and babies chimpanzees are being moved from Uganda neighboring countries like DRC and Rwanda for protection. How should we stop this Chimpanzees war?

This thing is the only constant on my table. People always ask, how do I know its "original" or "oligino" Here; 1. It's whitish. Kawanda one has a strong yellow. 2. It's tip is rounded. Kawanda one has sharp tips. 3. It often cracks. Kawanda one hardly cracks. 4. The stalk gets yellow as well. Kawanda one, stalk remains green while banana is yellow.

30s are some challenging years. There is some hunger that sends you home to just be alone in your bed. Some hunger that longs for a deeper meaning to life that no amount of luxury, vibe or money can buy. You long for a depth of life you just can’t figure out.

UCMID- Cities &Municipalities Infrastructure Prog
This morning, while addressing journalists and the media at the Uganda Media Centre, Hon. @JudithNabakoob1 , Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, announced that Government had secured $540 million (UGX 2.1 trillion) from the World Bank to support urban transformation across Uganda. The Minister noted that the funding, which includes an $80 million grant, will finance the Uganda Cities and Municipalities Infrastructure Development (UCMID) Programme, a six-year initiative running from 2026 to 2031. She stated that the programme will be implemented in 10 cities, 26 municipalities, and 13 refugee-hosting districts, directly benefiting an estimated 5.6 million people, including 1.6 million in refugee-hosting communities. The Minister explained that the programme is designed to address key urban challenges, including inadequate road infrastructure, flooding, gaps in solid waste management, and limited employment opportunities in urban areas. She further noted that the programme will deliver improved urban roads and mobility, enhanced drainage systems, strengthened waste management, and better planned and managed urban spaces to support economic activity. The Minister added that the programme is expected to generate approximately 20,000 permanent jobs, including 5,000 for refugees and host communities, while supporting small businesses and improving household incomes, particularly for youth and women. Providing context, she highlighted that 27% of Uganda’s population currently resides in urban areas, growing at 5.2% annually, and that urban centres are projected to contribute up to 70% of the country’s GDP. She emphasized that the programme will also support the decongestion of Kampala by creating economic opportunities in regional cities, while strengthening institutional capacity for urban planning and management. On the next steps, the Minister indicated that Government will finalize legal agreements with the World Bank, undertake stakeholder sensitisation, and commence procurement processes for infrastructure works. In closing the minister called on local governments to ensure compliance with all environmental and social safeguards to ensure a smooth rollout of the program.

*ODPP SANCTIONS MURDER AND AGGRAVATED ROBBERY CHARGES IN KIBOGA PRISON CASE AS ACCUSED PERSONS ARE PRODUCED IN COURT* The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) sanctioned criminal charges against the accused persons, in a lethal shooting incident at Kiboga Government Prison. Today, 31st March 2026, the principal accused, Prison Warder No. 13544, Anguyo Moses, was formally arraigned before Her Worship Jonad Kusasira, Magistrate Grade I. His appearance in court follows a coordinated cross-border operation that led to his arrest in Aru, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He had reportedly fled Uganda and was found hiding in a farm in Aru Village owned by one Andama, where he was being concealed by one Hitler Pariyo. The arrest was successfully executed by Police acting on intelligence provided by the Uganda Prisons Service. This was as a result of an effective inter-agency collaboration in the pursuit of justice. Anguyo Moses now faces multiple counts of murder. The charges arise from events of 23rd February 2026 at Kiboga Government Prison, where it is alleged that, with malice aforethought, he unlawfully caused the deaths of ASP Catherine Hope, PO1 Akishuri Bright, Ayebare Sarah, and Niwagaba Salson. These allegations characterize a profound breach of duty by an officer entrusted with the protection of life and security. In addition to the murder charges, the accused faces counts of aggravated robbery. It is alleged that, during the same course of events, he robbed victims including Katusiime Grace and Nabayiga Mary of their property, using a deadly weapon, namely a firearm. The use of a gun accentuates the violent and aggravated nature of the offences. He is further charged with threatening violence, having allegedly intimidated a victim with threats of death or injury. The charge sheet also implicates three co-accused, Anziku Peter, Anziku Peter alias Okuonzi Dickson, and Amviko Hellen, who are charged as accessories after the fact to felony. It is alleged that, being relatives of the principal accused, they assisted him to evade arrest and escape from lawful custody following the commission of the offences. The Prosecution is represented by Mr. Stephen Ariong, Senior State Attorney, and Ms. Joan Gaswaga, State Attorney, both from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. This case is a potent assertion of the principle that no person is above the law. The ODPP reiterates its commitment to ensuring that all those implicated are held accountable through due process, and that justice is delivered to the victims and their families. The accused persons remain presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Proceedings will continue as investigations progress. The ODPP remains fully committed to prosecuting this matter diligently and to its logical and lawful conclusion.#ODPPUPDATES #ODPPUGANDA @odppuganda_
