@victorloseyi @Uncleirving11_ @CFCShedy this is a greatly retarded take. Szoboszlai’s shot was at least 10x the speed, with a far more unpredictable ball trajectory. Secondly, Reus’ shot was poorly placed, nowhere near any corners, while Szobo’s shot was so out of reach that it hit the post on its way in.

Messi’s greatness at passing is overlooked because of his excellence at scoring and dribbling.
He may not be the best passer of the ball because he is busy doing magic and making the game easier for everyone else, while players like KDB can send the ball to the other end of the field with ease. However, when it comes to creating, Messi is up there. Messi can create a chance from anything with accuracy when he is around the box. Again, this is often overlooked because he is better at scoring than the people he is passing to.
