@davereaboi He was a fantastic interpreter of song (like Rondstadt) and surrounded himself with quality session players from Tulsa/Delaney&Bonnie. Similar players to whom Clapton gravitated towards. I presume his energy during live performances would be better appreciated.

The diff between Sammy & Prince, is that Sammy didn’t needed to prove anything. Don’t get me wrong- they both worked extremely hard at their respective crafts, Sammy is just waaay more at ease, He’s not simultaneously checking for audience reactions.

Buddy Miles, Levon Helm, Stokley (Mint Condition), Anderson Paak, Don Henley, Stevie Wonder (when he felt like it) Prince could sing & play traps too. Wasn’t Loverboy’s lead singer also its drummer ?

@MickColageo Absolutely true...simple and effective would have secured a win.

@coves121 Yes, Buffalo sustained physicality more than the Bruins because they were desperate, but the Bruins gave them life when they were under no strain. Unnecessary risks on the breakout.

Gotta love Lindy with the little jab there. Marco Sturm will post it on the exit door to the rink.

Lindy Ruff on the Bruins' play in Game 1: "Their defensive structure is good... We made them pay for those couple of mistakes down low. They weren't getting beat early. I think maybe some of our physicality wore them down."

@HackswithHaggs Agreed! Sabers are no joke. They out shot and out hit the B's almost 2-1. B's played a decent game for 50min. But that 2nd line and defensive miscues cost them. It's uphill for here on. I think Hagens keeps his spot for game 2 and he'll be more assertive.
English

@coves121 I thought Hagens looked a bit nervous in the first two periods, but he was one of the few Bruins players still looking to make offensive plays in the third period. Way too much passivity and going into protect mode after going up 2-0 & that allowed Sabres to keep coming in waves
