This will be an interesting opportunity, because a lot of people who have only heard about the original cuts will be able to see firsthand that Lucas generally replaced these shots because they didn't even hold up to the standards of the next two films, let alone the standards of today.

You have to wonder why Lucas included the Changeling plot point in the film in the first place. Consider that the only time Zam clearly changes (other than her blink-and-you'll-miss-it shift during the chase) is when she dies. She poses as an attractive young woman, but her true form is revealed to be corpse-like, an image of decay and death.
Now consider that the essential function of the plot point during the previous scene is to suggest that any of the attractive young women in the club could be a Changeling.

Here's another joke no one understood. Everyone complains about Zam Wesell being revealed to be a Changeling, and then this seemingly having no real relevance to her stalking the Jedi in the club. Well, what happens right after the Jedi walk in? Anakin has gotten a visual on the assassin, so he tells Obi-Wan, "I think 'he' is a she. And I think she is a Changeling." Obi-Wan contemplates this for a moment, then says knowingly, "In that case, be extra careful." Then as Anakin makes his way around the club in search of Zam, he is eyed menacingly by horny young women. Intercut with this, we catch sexually charged glimpses of Zam (seemingly) stalking Anakin. Of course the real threat has nothing to do with the fact that Zam is a Changeling. That's not what Obi-Wan meant. What is it that has doomed Anakin by the end of the movie?

@mightydudbolt Nah. I think the CGI complaints are overblown, it actually holds up fairly well.
I think that Anakin's confession is probably some of the best dialogue in the film.
I really disliked the directing, a lot of the blocking, the pacing, the editing, and the dialogue of the film.

People are still clinging to the line that the prequels were "executed poorly," which basically means they didn't like the CGI and the Star Wars–style corny dialogue and acting. I don't care that Dexter Jettster isn't a real guy in a fatsuit. I don't care that Anakin says he's haunted by Padme's kiss. In fact I like those things. The people who trashed these movies have been wrong about literally everything else about them, and they're wrong about these things too. They're insufferably too-cool-for-school and they're simultaneously wet blankets.

@SensitiveManlet The prequels did not fail to capture this because they did not attempt it (because they take place before 20 years of imperial reign). This is a very basic part of understanding how they were made, the design decisions are all very intentional.

The grimy look of Star Wars inspired the set and costume design of Alien. In the original trilogy there was whimsy and melodrama but it was set in a universe that was very un-sanitized. Both the prequels and sequels failed to capture this feel.

According to The Mandalorian and Grogu, Hutts no longer have dancers or slave girls, diverging from Return of the Jedi, The Phantom Menace, and The Clone Wars. Nothing but droid servants and guards. Yes, this movie is more sanitized than the cartoon.
