✍️ 'If Labour turns to the gobby trade unionist following an annihilation at the polls next week, this country is finished' I Writes Allison Pearson Read Allison Pearson's full column below 🔗 telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04/2…

‘It's so irritating cos she's just throwing 649 people under the bus to make herself look good’ This ⬆️ from one really angry MP very keen to point out Hannah Spencer has ‘had two months [as an MP] and has spoken once in Parliament’ ‘The vast majority of us seem to be doing more work in Parliament than she is’ The Green MP’s comments have sparked *valid debate* about Westminster culture but there are also hundreds of MPs who work 12+ hours a day and feel it unfairly paints all of them with the same brush at a time when perception of politicians isn’t great

A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after a fire at an LGBT+ nightclub in Milton Keynes. Thames Valley Police received reports at 2 am on Sunday that the Pink Punters venue in Milton Keynes was on fire.

Superb piece from @tompeck who went out door-knocking with Wes Streeting in his constituency Streeting was withering about the Greens “Without traducing the entire Green Party and their activist base when I see some of the people who joined the Labour Party under Jeremy Corbyn, and have since left the Labour Party and joined the Greens, I feel a sense of relief “I feel sorry for the old, cuddly environmentalists who are now overrun with a bunch of people who made the Labour Party unelectable, who’ll be delighted that Zack Polanski would happily pull us out of Nato and they’ll make every excuse under the sun to defend the indefensible.” And here he is on the independents: “We’re voting for Redbridge council, not the UN security council. Who you choose to run your local council matters and the Redbridge independents represent a divisive brand of sectarian politics. I don’t want to see Redbridge becoming a basket case or a rotten borough like Tower Hamlets.” thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

Tory vote on referring Keir Starmer to the Privilege’s Committee is a political stunt but to blow it out of the water Keir Starmer should show confidence & refer himself, demonstrating there is nothing to hide. Whipping a vote against will produce smears we’re backing a cover up.

It's very convenient that the Labour Govenrment are starting to talk about rent freezes days before an elections against the Green Party. Notice they've not actually announced it so they'll pretend it was never the plan. For real rent controls & council housing - Vote Green.

.@ZackPolanski calls out the number of Labour MPs who are defending their right to drink & get drunk at work. The fact that these MP's are choosing this particular hill to die on shows just how out of touch they are.

'I don't think it's unreasonable Zack Polanski to ask you about your integrity, about your beliefs, about what you say.' @susannareid100 and @edballs challenge leader of the Green party Zack Polanski about claims he's previously made about using hypnosis to enlarge women's breasts. Zack Polanski has previously apologised for making the claims.
