@1stSimona Hi Simona, sorry about the issues that you've had with the app. Was it the latest version? Have you tried to download it again since removing it?
Deleted @O2 app … I can’t put up with the stupidity they become since they merged with Virgin. 🤢
Every time I go on the app I have to enter my details…. again. And again…. what in the world, you’re an app. Stop it.
Thinking seriously to change my provider.
@scambers73@AustralianOpen Works well for the UK as well.
Having spent time in Australia prime time viewing is in the evenings. That’s one of the reasons they have a Pink test match, the tv companies like it.
Found myself wondering today why the @AustralianOpen holds the finals at night. Doesn't make sense internationally, certainly not in US, and surely Australian TV would be happy with 4pm, for example? Wimbledon is 4pm, US Open 2pm, RG 3pm. Any thoughts?
Entirely personal, but I’d be grateful if my Government would call the US Ambassador in to explain and justify the comments made about our service personnel by his President. He should then be told that there will be no visit to Washington by our King and Queen.
Thankyou
The crucial section from Angela Rayner’s statement on why she paid too little stamp duty - around £40,000 too little I understand - is this
"When purchasing the property my understanding, on advice from lawyers, was that my circumstances meant I was liable for the standard rate of stamp duty.”
If she can prove she was given the wrong advice by a qualified solicitor, then I assume both the PM’s ethics adviser and British people will give her the benefit of the doubt. Her job as deputy prime minister will remain in peril unless and until she can demonstrate that.
PS I am struggling to get my head around the idea that any solicitor would have been so useless as to give her such bad advice. But maybe I am assuming a greater knowledge of stamp duty rules than is typical among property lawyers!
That said, the “deeming” provisions to which she refers, that her solicitor apparently missed and that HMRC applies, are not arcane or abstruse, or “complex” in her words. They are pretty bog standard.
@JoeWilsonwords Concise..precise… and relevant and always smart.
You can’t beat that. As someone sat in front of the box watching your reports over the years you will be missed.
@andNickMullins@tntsports The last hour was very well dealt with Nick. Dan, Richie and Peter Alliss would have appreciated that. You let the pictures do the talking .
Brilliant
I’m still hoping that @Ofcom will reverse its decision and let BBC Radio2 extra go ahead and bring you a radio station unlike any other and all the archive that we have paid for to be heard and not wasting away on a shelf. Commercial radio is aloud to put on radio stations without all the red tape but the BBC are stopped from doing so, even on its own app @BBCSounds I find this quite ridiculous. I hope someone somewhere realises this is totally unfair.
I loved our time doing the Champions & Challenge Cups. But things change and while we’re on different teams these days, I’m sure my mates on Premier Sports will knock it out of the park wherever they are tonight & this weekend.
