Seriously @British_Airways, you have got to sort out your software. It has been years since your online check-in was reliable. It causes huge and needless delays. How hard can it be to fix?

@ottaproperty @m_azzd What if I told you I offered my house to my tenant , with a considerable discount as she had been there a while. She couldn’t get a mortgage! You’re a fraud.

@TSB thanks for letting me know you became part of Santander four days ago. I shall be closing my account tomorrow, fifty years after opening it. I left Santander several years ago after announcing their DEI credentials which was more about the staff and less about the customer

@AnthonyRD1995 You have some special way of telling the future? Scotland is not Ireland . Scotland is a rich country with oil and Gas , renewables, and a massive food and Whisky industry. Its a No 1 tourist attraction. Scotland can more than manage. BTW Ireland is now one of the best.

Dear @roisinmurphy being a majority is not a thing of worth. Society is made up of many, many microniches in 2026 and you wanting to belong to the herd makes you seem, well a wee bit moribund. You might want to look it up love. You're a supremacist who is anything but supreme.
Miffy@miffythegamer

Oh no. Roisin’s at the “silent majority” stage of the TERF radicalisation pipeline. Got any more rightwing populist clichés for us babes?

I’m sick to death of the right wing press to be honest. I suspect that Keir didn’t even know he had a niece and this wouldn’t have crossed his desk. Why is he getting the blame for selections that he has absolutely no involvement with whatsoever? 🤷🏼‍♂️
The Telegraph@Telegraph

🗳️ Sir Keir Starmer’s niece is standing in the local elections in Croydon, one of the safest wards in London. Some disgruntled local Labour activists claim she has been “parachuted into a safe Labour seat” telegraph.co.uk/politics/2026/…

@CmPooley1972 @implausibleblog It appears that your gaslighting and abuse of intelligence hasn’t come up to scratch. Perhaps if you read a little more of the budget analysis of the cost to the economy you’d know that this idealogical decision has cost the taxpayer a fortune. And for what?

Lady in yellow, "The Labour Party made it very clear that by taxing independent schools 20% VAT that you would put an additional 6,500 teachers into the teaching environment to help support SEND within schools" "Where's that gone?" @UKLabour Sadly that Labour Party is DEAD. What we have is an Israeli based Right Wing Labour Party that is so far right even basic ideas of nationalising water and energy - the stuff of life - are outside anything it would consider. Labor is Dead. LiD

Don’t particularly feel sorry for any business owner whose enterprise is only viable because they pay poverty wages.
Peter McCormack 🏴‍☠️🇬🇧🇮🇪@PeterMcCormack

A minimum wage of £15 would end my coffee shop, it would have to close, as would many other businesses. I’ll explain for the economically illiterate. Staff costs are currently half our costs, a £15 minimum wage is actually more than £15 an hour for the company, because you have to add: - 12.07% holiday - Sick pay - Maternity pay if and when required - National insurance - Pension contributions These costs would mean the shop loses money because remember, energy costs are up, rates are up, regulations are up. Now you can pass these costs onto the consumer - that would mean charging a lot more for coffee, people won’t pay it. The likes of Starbucks and Costa can, because they have economies of scale. The independent doesn’t. Now the little socialist will say well this is your fault, if you can’t run a business that can afford to pay its staff properly, but the little socialist has never run a business and does not understand the dynamics. Now I could pay some staff off and fill those hours myself or reduce us to one staff member during certain periods - but this proves the point that a minimum wage costs jobs. There was a time when these jobs were done by kids, perhaps on the weekend, paid a lower wage, no holiday and no silly employment rights. Perhaps they were even paid cash. The dynamic worked and small businesses like this could operate. It was also a great first job. Sadly now it isn’t worth employing entitlement youngsters at this level of pay. So alas, I don’t need the stress, the business would close, a number of jobs would be lost. Economics is about understanding these dynamics, no vibes. The cost of living is not solved through passing on inflation to the business, it is solved by ending high inflation and creating prosperity. This is what socialists don’t understand, they can’t create prosperity, they can only destroy it.

I'm sorry you're suffering in that way. I'm not against owning property as a business, and I respect the problems both of these governments are causing, but many landlords are extremely predatory, especially ethnic minority landlords. Overall, I support the things done to curtail these scumbags, but I am simultaneously compassionate that many straight shooters such as yourself also get stung by it. Hopefully this can be worked out in the short term

Labour's Renters Rights Act championed by Angela Rayner has now kicked in, triggering a mass exodus of landlords who are selling up in droves and booting tenants out before the new rules fully bite, almost half of more than 1,000 landlords surveyed said they will stop renting entirely once the legislation takes full effect, the brainchild of Deputy PM Rayner scraps no-fault evictions, limits rent rises to once a year and forces landlords to accept benefit tenants or risk prosecution, this has sparked a surge in evictions with tenants given notice so properties can be sold off, middle-income landlords now face bankruptcy risks from longer arrears periods while the rental market shrinks fast, critics say Rayner’s heavy-handed reforms are making the housing crisis far worse by driving supply down and rents up, ordinary families are left scrambling for fewer homes as the very people who provide rentals are chased out, Another far left failure

Today was my 35th (I think - I've lost count) time at Wembley in 14 years. It's an expensive and time consuming trip. The semis at wembley are now a labour of love. If I had anything better to do, today would probably be my last. If ever there was proof that semis should be neutral, today was it.
